The win helped Howell's Tigers claim the Bishop Kelley Invitational title and pushed their record to 4-0. It had been a quiet scoring start for the junior on the season. He's a quality playmaker and set up man, but as the only returning starter along with his size and athleticism his scoring production should see a step up. It was a great sign that in their biggest game of their young season, he provided exactly that and earned MVP honors for his efforts. Tuesday will provide another chance for Howell to step up as they host Choctaw in a huge district clash.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1367222"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"From the opening tip of the Joe Lawson Memorial tournament to the championship game, Combs-Pierce was a dominant force. He was a double digit scorer in all three contests, including a first quarter dunk show on Thursday.  In the title game he delivered 19 huge points as Norman took down their bitter rivals Norman North.  Going into last season, Norman North had dominated the Crosstown Clash.  Norman has now won 3 of the last 4 contests and Combs-Pierce's play has been a big reason why.  The senior and his Tigers will get a chance to take down their rivals again, as they will host Norman North on Friday.rnrnu0026nbsp;","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1796291"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"The high motor wing took home the MVP honors after a 42-35 win over Tulsa Memorial secured his Wolverines the Great Plains Invitational for the second straight year. Deans only had 6 points and 9 rebounds in the low scoring contest, but he recorded double doubles earlier in the tournament. He opened with an eye popping 34 points and 15 rebounds performance over Putnam City. Then helped Lawton secure bragging rights in the semifinals by taking down rivals MacArthur with 19 points and 12 rebounds.rnrnFew players in Oklahoma play harder than Deans and he's off to a flying start for his junior campaign.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"[player_tooltip player_id='2344112' first='Jalen' last='Wallace']","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"5'10u0022","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"77246","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"Carnegie ","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"Oklahoma Runners","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_3_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"The senior lead guard filled the stat sheets over the week in southern Oklahoma. They outlasted Crooked Oak 44-38 in the title game and Geissler was awarded MVP honors for his three game performance. Which included a 32 point outburst in the semifinals. The junior guard connected on eight three pointers and will now have to be kept tabs on as potentially one of the top shooters in Class 4A.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["1343195"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"Victory Christian opened the Jerry O'Quinn tournament with back to back double digit victories. Saturday night was a little different as they were trailing at the half, against Inola. But [player_tooltip player_id='1343195' first='Chris' last='Mason'] and company would be too much, as they rallied for the 63-54 win to start their season 3-0. The senior forward earned MVP honors with 21 points, and from viewing some clips on social media, he was a man among boys in the game. His physicality was too much, on both ends of the court. He powered through multiple defenders for strong finishes and forced turnovers on defense.rnrnThe tough tests continue for Mason on Monday, as they battle fellow 3A and 918 program, Metro Christian.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["1367220"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"The skilled southern Oklahoma forward helped his hosts Wildcats to the Madill Winter Classic title.  They handled business with double digit wins over fellow 4A programs Purcell and Ardmore. It was a record breaking for Wilkerson, as his 82 points over the 3 games broke a tournament record that had been held since 2004.  He has been pouring on the points for the last few years in southern Oklahoma, and is one of the more underappreciated senior standouts in the state.rnrnWilkerson, who can score in a variety of ways, is one of the top  available seniors in Oklahoma. And now has Madill to a 5-0 mark to start the season.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["1796295"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"Kennedy and his Wildcat teammates capped a big week that started with a quality win over Mustang by taking care of business at Duncan's SOI tournament.  On Friday night they took down Ada, 43-39. Then followed it up with a 50-39 win over Tuttle for the title. The junior guard took home MVP honors thanks to 21 points in the title game. Kennedy enjoyed a strong summer and has carried that momentum over to the high school season with Piedmont off to a 6-0 start. Always a quality  shooter, he's become stronger off the dribble and is active on the defensive end as a complete guard. A big test against defending 6A champions Edmond North is on the schedule next Friday.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":8,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6576027d07f58"} /-->
