They are not overly long but the Cards have high-percentage shooters, smart players, skilled guards/wings, hard workers, and some impressive athletes. They also have a knowledgeable head coach who knows a thing or two about winning games. PHD is high on DRSM, they should be a top 10 team entering the season and we expect to see the Cards at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen come State Tournament time! We have 4 returning starters and a great group of 4 seniors who have put a lot of hard work into the program. We have 22 players out this year. We will rely on our outside shooting and try to take advantage of favorable matchups. It is the BEST tournament to be a part of and our coaching staff wants our players to have that experience. We would like to build on our success from last year and take it one step further than last season and make it to the SoDak16 and see what happens after that. Region 3B has been year-in-and-year-out one of the toughest Regions in class B. This year will be no different. Howard made it to the SoDak16 last year and has a good core group back again this year. Bridgewater-Emery, Canistota, Chester, &amp; Colman-Egan all have a lot of returning production back from a year ago and will be looking to take the next step this season.
