While Wood largely struggled offensively, MacAdams did his part with an efficient 15 points despite the loss. He was key toward the Vikings’ early spurt, coming out aggressive and scoring nine points in the opening quarter and change while Wood established a double-digit lead. The Marist commit was effective spacing the floor from the perimeter as a shooter off the catch and also put strong pressure on the rim as a slasher driving past closeouts. His well-rounded scoring ability project well toward making an impact in Poughkeepsie before too long.

One of the top returning scorers in the league, Macadams got his senior PCL campaign off to a solid start with a 15-point effort to help key the road win. The Marist pledge scored all but two of his points in a big first half, helping the Vikings establish an early lead that they would hold for much of the game. Macadams knocked down a trio of shots from beyond the arc with steely confidence that’s become common for him, before getting the fans out of their seats with an explosive alley-oop finish in transition. His scoring ability and tough-nosed approach should translate nicely to the MAAC before too long.

MacAdams scoring arsenal was seen throughout a win over Elizabeth (NJ). MacAdams was effective touching the paint and sought out contact on the attack. He spent a lot of time at the charity stripe. MacAdams was also in good spots on the floor to shag rebounds. I also liked how he was able to make others better.

Scored 18 points on 5-12 from the field and 4-6 from the three-point line. Has made his presence felt with nonstop energy and activity. MacAdams was physical on the glass and finished efficiently around the basket. MacAdams attacked strong off the bounce, consistently followed his own misses, and even spaced the floor with confidence. A sound athlete who impacts the game through effort, intensity, and versatility.

It’s easy to appreciate everything MacAdams provided as an interior piece. He possesses an incredibly strong frame with soft hands, great feet, and a physically overwhelming presence on both ends of the floor. MacAdams clearly has the physical makeup of a football player but displays great feel, toughness, mobility, and overall skill. He finishes with touch around the basket and athleticism throwing down transition dunk and showing the ability to score play well through contact.

MacAdams (17 ppg.; 47% 3PA; 1st Team All-PCL selection) just received an offer from Marist and based on how he played during the June live period, we expect more will follow. MacAdams shot the lights out from deep and impressed with his ability to muscle his way past defenders off the dribble. He also displayed tremendous passing skills in transition as well as the half-court.

MacAdams erupted for a master class offensive display. If his feet are set from behind the arc there is a high chance he is converting from deep. He was in good spots on the floor to collect rebounds. He also was able to muscle his way to different spots off the bounce. He has really bought into the weight room and has added muscle to his frame. MacAdams also made frequent trips to the foul line. He plays with a chip on his shoulder whenever he steps onto the floor.

There may not have been a bigger stock-riser in the entirety of the Philly Catholic League this winter than MacAdams, who rose from a low-usage complementary player into the league’s third-leading scorer in just a year’s time. Still feeling a bit shortchanged on the recruiting front, having just recently received his first D1 offer, he’ll open up even more eyes on the biggest stage as he takes his talents to the EYBL circuit. A pure bucket-getter from all three levels, MacAdams plays with a chip on his shoulder befitting of an under-recruited prospect and a competitive fire that can’t help but rub off on his teammates. Known somewhat as a shooter, he’s more than capable of putting the ball on the deck as well and is a threat to finish above the rim in traffic over unsuspecting defenders. While not the quickest laterally, his able to use his strong frame to bother opposing guards on the other end. With a Patriot League offer in tow, MacAdams’ ascent could just be getting started if he’s able to carry his success from the winter into his 17U campaign.

MacAdams is well known as one of the top three-point shooter in the region. That skill set was on full display this past week in Donofrio action as MacAdams laced 5 triples on his way to 25 points. A couple of those threes were hit from logo distance. Still, what really impressed us about MacAdams was his ability to push his way past defenders off the dribble. MacAdams was able to use his physicality on a few straight-line drives to get to the rim. Once he was in close, MacAdams proved he could convert through contact with either hand. His court vision and passing skills produced a few nice dimes too.
