2019 Prospects Ready for Breakout
Here is a look at some of the 2019 prospects ready for a breakout junior season.
Justin McKoy 6’7 F Panther Creek-He can run the floor for a big man, he can finish with either hand at the rim. He has a great feel for the game, he has a high basketball IQ, and he is very athletic.Extremely long, McKoy is a defensive presence with his ability to alter shot selection. He uses his long arms to block shots and give the offense fits when he is in the lane. McKoy contemplated going to York Prep (SC) for his junior season but ultimately decided to come back to Panther Creek HS.
Demetrius Martin 6’1 G Garinger HS-An athletic guard that can make plays above the rim on both ends of the floor. Plays the game with high energy, has good ball-handling skills and a quick first step that he uses to get by defenders.
Shyheed Williams 6’4 SF Garninger HS-A nice all-around player that put up impressive numbers for his high school team, for a player his height he rebounds the ball very well. He understands the game and uses angles and fundamentals to outsmart bigger opponents.
Malcolm Morgan 5’8 G Cox Mill HS-Plain and simple, this young man knows how to win games. He isn’t the tallest player, but he plays with the type of energy that makes you completely overlook his size. Helped lead his team deep into the playoffs just about every season since he’s been playing varsity basketball. He teams up with 2019 classmates Wendell Moore and Caleb Stone-Carrawell.
Brad Halvorsen 6’0 SG Christ School-Plays the combo guard slot for his high school team , can shoot it from deep when he’s playing the SG spot and can run a team when they move him to the PG spot. Where he makes the most impact is on the defensive end of the floor, he’s a physical defender but also quick laterally.
