Steady, smart and skilled. Those attributes pretty much sum up the consistent play of Samson, a true pass-first lead guard who values setting up his teammates and playing strong perimeter defense. A three-year varsity performer for West DePere, Samson is sure handed with the ball in his hands and makes instinctual decisions in pressure situations. He averaged 12.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists as a junior to earn second-team all-league honors in the Fox River Classic Conference.

Mr. Steady was doing his thing for the Wisconsin Legends in its win over CBA North Saturday afternoon. The heady lead guard with very good quickness got around his defenders to score early and often, and then settled into getting the ball to his teammates so they could put points on the scoreboard. He finished with 12 points, nailing a three, scoring off the dribble and making all three of his foul shots. On the other end, Samson used his lateral quickness and strong instincts to stay in front of opposing guards and preventing them from getting into the paint.

Samson was very impressive for the Phantoms on both sides of the basketball on Tuesday. Samson, is a twitchy and shifty guard that found different ways to score and playmake on Tuesday night. Carson was able to stuff the stat sheet and finished the game with 15 points. Samson demonstrated his versatile offensive skill set knocking down three threes and finishing through contact around the basket with his quick first step and overall added strength in the offseason. The 6-0 junior rarely makes mistakes on the floor and plays spectacular on ball defense against tough matchups. Samson came into this game averaging 14.1ppg, and is loudly demonstrating his case to be a first team all conference player in the FRCC.
