With everything that happened with injuries and such with the Comets Elite 17s this year it was a tougher season than they are used to. But one constant was Ray Brau Ray Brau 6'8" | PF Hibbing | 2027 State MN who played through a few injuries – including a broken nose – to be that eight basket, eight rebound consistent body the entire 17u year. Recently committed to Michigan Tech, Brau had a few options but felt the best about Tech.

Ray was the steadiest player for the Comets this 17u season. Last winter as a junior Ray averaged 26.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting 63.2 percent from the field. He is strong and steady in the paint and we believe he is perfectly built for the D2 frontcourt to be a steady force. There are a few D2 options for him out there but now that half the NSIC got their future frontcourt talents from the high school ranks, there is room for some others to step in and get their guy, and Ray looks like a fit to be their option.

Ray Brau Ray Brau 6'8" | PF Hibbing | 2027 State MN   – Brau is a six-foot-eight-inch 2027 forward from Hibbing that has good low-post moves on the block. At Hibbing Brau is a super high volume scorer and rebounder leading Hibbing in both. Brau has improved athleticism and a strong face-up game. The 2027 forward picked up an off from Mich Tech University.

Brau showed off a few more post pivots and moves around the basket with soft touch finishes around the rim.
