LADERA RANCH — The adidas All-America camp made its way to the west coast this week and featured the country's top prospects on the adidas 3SSB circuit. The limited scrimmages on Wednesday and Thursday night were filled with high level head-to-head matchups. Here are our takeaways on the prospects we saw from the Northeast Region of the U.S.

[player_tooltip player_id='1205156' first='Andre' last='Mills'], 2024, Brimmer and May/Mass Rivals

Mills is a highly-athletic combo guard whose strong frame and willingness to seek out contact and finish on drives was one of the more impressive parts of his game. The 6-foot-4 lefty is also a high-level on-ball defender who showed he can guard each perimeter position and compete inside against bigs when forced to switch. The Texas A&M-commit is a consistent three-point shooter off the catch, as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2341272' first='Ben' last='Ahmed'], 2026, Putnam Science/BABC

Ahmed has great size and feel for the center position at just 16 years old. At 6-feet-9 and a strong 240-pounds, the rising sophomore is a power finisher inside who understands how to use his body to seal and establish deep post position. When he gets a post touch, Ahmed can score through contact or use a finesse left-hand hook shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1199070' first='Elijah' last='Moore'], 2024, Cardinal Hayes/New York Wiz Kids

Moore really showcased his high-level feel for the game and shot-making abilities throughout the scrimmage. The 6-foot-4 Syracuse-commit is an efficient three-level scorer whose mid-range jump shot off the dribble is one of his best scoring traits. Moore is also a knock down three-point shooter off the catch and an explosive finisher in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489337' first='George' last='Turkson'] Jr., 2024, Bradford Christian Academy/Mass Rivals

Turkson was one of the more physical and athletic four-men in the camp. His combination of strength, high motor and good hands and quick leaping ability made him a rim-running and finishing threat in transition and a slasher and finisher in half-court offense. Turkson, a 6-foot-7 Texas A&M-commit, worked relentlessly on the offensive boards and looks to dunk everything around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1195555' first='Ian' last='Jackson'], 2024, Cardinal Hayes/ New York Wiz Kids

Jackson was perhaps the most polished all-around prospect in this camp. The North Carolina-commit is known for his explosive athleticism and finishing abilities in transition but he was highly-efficient as a three-point shooter over the course of the scrimmages. Jackson's ball skills, creativity off the dribble and ability to create for himself and his teammates are attributes that will translate well to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1197611' first='KJ' last='Cochran'], 2025, Perkiomen School/K-Low Elite

Cochran has dynamic speed in transition and half-court settings. The 6-foot-3 combo guard uses his first-step burst to get by defenders and into the lane where he's a willing passer to open shooters or big men looking for a lob. Cochran has intriguing size, passing IQ and overall feel for the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1206441' first='Kur' last='Teng'], 2024, Bradford Christian Academy/Mass Rivals

Teng was one of the better pure shooters at the camp. Not only is he a lethal three-point shooting threat off the catch, he is great at creating space when coming off of screens and gets his feet set quickly to get his shot off. Teng also has great feel as a mid-range jump shooter where he uses the dribble to get into rhythm. One thing that stood out most about the 6-foot-4 Michigan State-commit was that he played at his pace and never got sped up.
