About Charlie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am 6’2 150 lb shooting guard out of Stillwater Oklahoma. I am a sharp shooter, ball handler, elite passer, and a great defender. All these gameplay styles contribute to sophomores in the AAU season and to all high school kids in the High school season.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is mainly always being ready to play and how I think shows my passion for the game. I am a great teammate and an uplifting player to have on a team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

In school, I am involved in Student Council and Beta Club. And I received an award for achieving a 4.0 GPA starting high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a lot of skills in Student Council with outgoing behavior, and relationship with God and Jesus to show respect and being a good teammate towards others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, many. I have faced so many challenges in basketball, school, driving, and life in general. All these things are important because I face many challenges and fail, and that’s how I learn.

What type of college are you looking for?

Any college, I am willing to play for any type of college that is accepting and always ready to play basketball.

Rutherford can fill it up from three with a silky jumper. But he’s not content with just being a shooter who floats around the perimeter. He mixes it up as a defender by being smart in the passing lanes. And perhaps most importantly, he’s already a talker on the court. There’s tons of kids all over the region who can shot the rock like Rutherford. But cool and quiet will get you beat, especially in college. While Rutherford plays cool, he’s anything but quiet on the court.
