Gevonte Ware Gevonte Ware 6’9″ | C 1 of 1 Academy | 2025 State #150 Nation NC is another prospect out of the 1 of 1 Rare frontcourt as a prospect to know in the 2025 class. He’s a confident big man that’s capable of operate on the perimeter as a ball-handler, playmaker and shooter at the power forward/center position. At 6-foot-9, he’s a highly-skilled prospect that HM programs need to get eyes on given his ability to finish at the rim and knock down shots on the perimeter. His versatility will really excite college programs. Ole Miss, Radford, Winthrop, Texas A&M, Nebraska and Mississippi State have all offered him so far.
Andrew Grimes Andrew Grimes 6’8″ | PF Clayton | 2025 State #307 Nation NC is an emerging name to get to know out of Clayton High that shined on the 3SSB stage with Garner Road Basketball Club. He took on an injury in the middle of the grassroots season, but it certainly shouldn’t slow down his return to the hardwood this fall with Clayton High. He’s a prospect that can operate at the 4/5 spot with the ability to operate as a stretch-forward and a presence in the paint with his versatility. Radford, UC San Diego and Shawn University are his current offers.

Preston Copeland Preston Copeland 6’8″ | C St. David’s | 2025 State #346 Nation NC is another prospect out of the Garner Road Basketball Club to keep an eye on that’s starting to blossom in the class. He’s shown he can operate as a shot-blocker and finisher around the rim at a high level. He’s beginning to show off his upside as a rim-runner and finisher in the paint. As he finds his consistency on the hardwood, look for college programs at the D1 level start to lock in with him.
John Lash John Lash 6’5″ | PF Charlotte Christian | 2025 State NC is an emerging prospect to keep an eye out on out of Charlotte Christian School. He’s coming off a strong debut season in the NCISAA where he surpassed 50 points and averaged a double-double as a paint presence. He’s a relentless finisher with sneaky athleticism and a solid frame to go along with it. He’s an undersized forward at 6-foot-5 that’s shown he can hold his own on the interior with his length and strong frame.
Zacch Wiggins Zacch Wiggins 6’5″ | SF Wesleyan Christian | 2025 State NC is a prospect that’s capable of operating on the wing and at the forward spot with his length, frame and athleticism at 6-foot-5. He’s another undersized forward that makes up for it with his energy/motor attacking the paint and protecting the rim. He was a big option in the Grimsley High rotation this past season while producing 15.8 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.3 spg, utilizing his energy and length to make plays as an athletic wing-forward. East Carolina is his lone offer.
