Ware is holding things down in the painted area and arguably one of the top bigs in North Carolina’s 2025 class. He’s putting up 10.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game and his passing out of the post is an asset as well. He’s averaging 1.8 assists per contest. He’s set to give Rutgers a paint presence they could use for a while when he heads there next fall.

Gevonte Ware was a true interior presence for 1 of 1 Academy. He can step out and knock down jump shots, and he puts the ball on the floor well. Gevonte has a deep bag of skills; when he has to, he can do some of the things you want from a traditional big. He can do everything a wing can but in a Center’s body. Gevonte averaged 10 PPG 12.7 RPG and 2 BPG in session 1. He then averaged 15.3 PPG and 8.8 RPG in session 2.

Highland and 1 of 1 Academy played in one of the day’s best games. In a game full of elite players, 1 of 1 big Gevonte Ware, might have had the best performance. He had a monster second half, scoring the ball in multiple ways. He had some aggressive takes where he showed his speed and strength. He also stepped out and knocked down multiple threes in the half. He had 19 second-half points and finished with 26. He followed that performance up with a double-double in a 1 of 1 Academy win.
