Now that the summer AAU session is coming to an end, I take a quick look at several prospects who impressed while playing on the Prep Hoops Circuit:

[player_tooltip player_id='1418511' first='Drew' last='Daoust'] -- PG -- [program_tooltip program_id='2076029' first='Wisconsin' last='Crusaders']

Daoust was really good last spring and summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2076029' first='Wisconsin' last='Crusaders']. I thought highly of his game then. But after watching him compete this summer, I now consider the point guard an elite prospect in Wisconsin. Daoust is so gifted as an offensive player. He scores well and is elite as a passer. Perhaps my favorite skill that Daoust possesses is his ability to make good decisions. When the PG has the ball in his hands, he makes smart choices that lead to success and winning.

[player_tooltip player_id='1203035' first='Quinn' last='Burns'] -- PG -- [program_tooltip program_id='2078838' first='World' last='Hoops Elite']

Burns is a great high school basketball player. I really enjoyed watching him play this spring and summer. On the offensive end of the court, Burns is a threat is more ways than one. As a scorer, the point guard has deep shooting range and a smooth, quick release. He also showed promise as a passer. I like how Burns is able to slash into the paint and then locate open teammates. I am expecting a big senior season from the veteran PG this winter.

Andre' Austin — PG — Pack

Austin is considered to be a top prospect in the Dakotas for very good reason. The Pack point guard excels in many different ways. He scores, defends, and is also solid as a rebounder. I don't think that Austin is anywhere near his basketball ceiling, either. When his team needs a big-time play, Austin is almost always the guy to step up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1760312' first='Riley' last='Johnson'] -- SG -- [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans']

Johnson may have been the best shooter that I was able to watch this summer. The [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] product is a three-point sniper who won't misfire on many open opportunities. Even when opposing defenses are chasing him off the three-point line, Johnson often finds ways to shake loose and find open shots. I love everything about Johnson's game. He is still young, too! I would suggest college programs take a good look at Johnson this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297886' first='Fitz' last='Freeman'] -- PF -- MN Chill '

I have been high on Freeman's game for a while now. Even though I still don't think the Minnesota Chill power forward has unlocked all of his potential, he certainly showed improvement this summer. Freeman brings an imposing physical stature that many of his peers simply can't match. Around the bucket, Freeman is a handful for any defender. He is simply too big and strong to match up with. I think Freeman's best skill is his rebounding ability, though. When he is aggressively pursuing the ball, Freeman often finds success.

Anton Kindle — SF — Wisconsin Truth

Kindle is a sleeper name to keep a close eye on in Wisconsin's 2024 class. I really like the positional versatility that the Wisconsin Truth prospect brings. In high school, I see him as more of an undersized small forward. But at the next level, he could easily develop into a solid shooting guard. Kindle is a strong, physical player on both ends of the court. He fights for rebounds and plays tough defense. If he can continue to develop his offensive skill set, I think that there is certainly a role for him at the next level.
