Another year on the Prep Hoops Circuit has come to a close with our Grit Region Finals taking place this past weekend between Westfield, Fishers, and Noblesville. Nearly 250 teams across three age groups from all over the Midwest and beyond descended on the north side of Indianapolis to compete for a championship. Ultimately, we crowded [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] Elite, Ohio United-McClure, and Kyle Guy Elite Black as our Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region champions in the 15u, 16u, and 17u brackets respectively. We will release our All-Tournament teams on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, along with plenty more coverage to come, but for now let's take a look at six prospects who used the weekend to improve their stock in the eyes of college coaches and scouts.

The 6'2u0022 guard was especially good in their hard-fought, come from behind win over R4L Elite in the Sweet 16 round. He is an all-around scrappy player that impressed with his ability to rebound from the guard spot and his willingness to mix it up on the offensive glass. Some of his key buckets down the stretch versus R4L came via offensive rebound putbacks.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1295470"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack']-3 advanced to the Sweet 16 and it was in large part due to the offensive game of this 6'3u0022 guard. Gerrity is highly skilled showcasing his ability to shoot from beyond the arc, attack off of the dribble, and finish at the end of his drives. He was truly scoring it from all three levels on the floor and was one of the lone bright spots in their Sweet 16 loss to a very talented Pocket City team. Small college programs should take the time out to evaluate this prospect out of Neuqua Valley High School.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1148601"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"We've covered this Kentucky Future Elite team quite a bit this spring and summer as they were consistently one of the best teams on the Prep Hoops Circuit. They proved that over the weekend at the Grit Region Finals too advancing to the championship game before falling to Kyle Guy Elite Black. However, this 6'1u0022 guard isn't the player that caught the most headlines throughout the summer. Mirus showed off his talent this past weekend scoring it off of the dribble consistently and showing good ball handling ability. He can play both on or off of the ball and make plays from either position. One of the leading scorers for the team on their way to the finals.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["2079504"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Kyle Guy Elite Black won the 17u Grit Region Finals championship and [player_tooltip player_id='1384422' first='Eli' last='Ellis'] admittedly earned most of the press on the title run. The 5'11u0022 sharpshooter from Plainfield deserved all praise he got, but this 6'6u0022 forward definitely fits the description of a stock-riser coming out of the weekend. [program_tooltip program_id='2078452' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2076932' first='Richmond' last='']' last=''] has gotten bigger while maintaining some unique skill as a face-up guy. The lefty drives the ball well from the perimeter and is capable of knocking down open three-point attempts as well. His physical inside-outside game was a big part of winning the whole thing.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_4_player_details_player_name":"Robert Walker","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_4_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_4_player_details_height":"6'4u0022","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_4_player_details_position":"77247","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_4_player_details_school":"Warren Central","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_4_player_details_club_team":"All Indy Platinum Elite 2024","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_4_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Nobody had a better Friday afternoon than this prospect out of Warren Central High School. Then, he backed it up again on Saturday leading All Indy Platinum Elite to an admittedly somewhat unexpected run into the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals 17u Elite Eight. The 6'4u0022 wing scored 32 points in their second game on Friday which really got some people talking in the gym. His size, length, and athleticism on the wing are very intriguing and he obviously showed off some scoring chops over the weekend. Good student too.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["1295542"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"Welch helped to lead [program_tooltip program_id='2075622' first='M14' last='Hoops'] Adidas Gold to a Final Four appearance at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals. The dynamic 6'2u0022 playmaker scored it at a high level throughout the weekend showing off his ability to attack the basket off of the dribble. He is very quick, athletic, and strong at the end of his drives. College coaches definitely should have Welch on their lists as July wraps up.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":6,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64b5924c167e0"} /-->
