came up huge for the Panthers. McFadden started the game with a corner 3-pointer but eventually got going in the paint with a couple baseline cuts that turned into open layups and dunks. Add in his hustle to get offensive rebounds in key situations and McFadden impacted winning at a high level.

McFadden is a player this is going to have a big year for Pick North. He is a defender you can stick on anyone to shut them down. He can guard all 5 positions. He has great length and strength. He is an athletic player who does a nice job of finishing around the basket. He seems to have a smoother and more confident jumper this year which makes him a real offensive threat.

McFadden had a breakout season last year for the Panthers and he seems to be ready to cement himself as one of the better players in Columbus this year. He looks to be poised and ready to do that. He is a nice athlete who can guard the best player on the other team no matter the position. His length allows for him to be all over the floor. He is a strong wing as well.

McFadden is someone that got on everyone’s radar last year if you watched this Pick North team and he now seems ready to take the next step. He now has the confidence and looks that he will be a big-time winning impactful player. McFadden has a great build and frame. He has the ability to defend all five positions on the floor and will be tasked with defending the other team’s best player. His shot seems to be smoother this year.

A high motor wing forward, McFadden was doing what he does best on Sunday. Getting rebounds on both ends, being efficient in the paint and just playing harder than a lot of other guys out there, McFadden had a strong overall performance. The exclamation point of the Panthers win was McFadden’s Alley-Oop slam dunk. I expect a big season from McFadden and the Panthers who could compete for an OCC division championship.

McFadden caught my eye in the preseason this year with his play and continued to impress me every single time I saw him play. The most impressive game I saw this year was his game at Pickerington Central. He went off and was doing everything for them. He was the best player on the court for almost the entire game. He is a coach’s dream due to his high motor and willingness to do the dirty work. He changes games due to these two abilities because they end up making game-winning impacts. He can score the ball at the rim very well and is a good athlete. He is just all ball and the type of kid you want on your team.

Few players flat out play as hard as McFadden does on a nightly basis. He’ll be helping lead Pickerington North against Westerville Central tonight in a game I’m very curious to see who wins. McFadden’s motor never stops and his ability to get second chance points at his height is impressive. I thought McFadden also took strides as a ball handler, showing more skill in his game instead of just being an undersized energy guy. I’ll be curious to see if McFadden can continue to grow his ball handling and passing ability playing next to

and Jr Bates in the Panther back-court. With those players all returning next season, I expect Pickerington North to be one of the top teams in central Ohio next season.

McFadden played one of the most impressive games I have seen this season. He was unbelievable from the start of the game til the end. He came out and got the lid off the rim. He was scoring by doing the dirty work. He was getting offensive rebounds by out-hustling everyone on the court. He made winning plays all night. He thrived off the sold-out environment. He had multiple dunks. For the majority of the game, he was the best player on the floor. He played tremendous defense due to effort. McFadden was amazing. Plan and simple.

McFadden is the type of player who is going to thrill in Jason Bates’ Pickerington North system. He is an athlete that can do it all around the perimeter. He plays hard and with high energy. He is very good at attacking the rim and scoring. He is a star in his role and will have a breakout year for the Panthers this year.

Lots of central Ohio and Ohio United representation in this article, McFadden is an undersized wing forward who is a big-time athlete. Very explosive when he gets a runway to the basket, McFadden has the athleticism to throw down some powerful dunks. We saw a lot of McFadden with Ohio United at different Prep Hoops Circuit events, but his most impressive outing was at Midwest Live with Pickerington North. Expect McFadden to play a major role for the Panthers this winter as they continue to mature with a young but talented core.
