Jackson is an all around guard who does a little bit of everything. He was an active defender & rebounder while having a contagious motor. Jackson showed patience on the offensive end and converted through contact inside. Jackson is really good at running the floor in transition. He also got to spots off the bounce in the half-court.

is a winner. He was vital in New Albany’s comeback efforts and ultimate win. He made game-winning plays all game. He is an extremely long wing that is quick. He is really good at making you flip your hips and then attack you. He has a tight handle on the ball. He gets to the rim consistently and made some head-turning layups that created a lot of momentum for his team. He was a really good defender and locked down the guards of Westerville Central when it mattered late in the game.

After getting blown out against Olentangy Orange, I was curious how New Albany would respond on Saturday and they got an impressive victory against one of southeast Ohio’s best teams in Minford. Jackson did a bit of everything for a balanced Eagles effort that saw five or six players make major contributions. An anticipatory defender, Jackson jumped a few passing lanes that led to easy transition layups. Able to attack off the bounce in the half-court, Jackson made a pull-up mid-range and a sidestep 3-pointer after a defender flew by him on a closeout. If Jackson can continue to consistently make 3-point shots and continue to impact the game defensively and with his passing ability, he’ll be a breakout star in central Ohio this winter.

A guard who had a strong summer with New Albany, Jackson is a prospect who could really emerge in central Ohio this winter. With his size and passing ability, Jackson is able to play on or off the ball from the guard position. After a special mention all-conference season as a Sophomore, I expect Jackson to contend for a first team spot as a Junior. A crafty finisher at the rim, Jackson should see his PPG skyrocket in an increased role.

New Albany is led by a new head coach as Tim Casey makes the move after leaving Upper Arlington. Casey had his new look squad looking sharp and Jackson was as big a reason as any on Thursday. I like the feel that Jackson brings as a wing with his play-making ability and how he quickly moves the ball. As a transition finisher Jackson had some tough finishes at the rim with both hands against shot blockers. Defensively, Jackson defended up positionally by guarding opposing bigs on an undersized team. Jackson looks like a potential breakout candidate to compete for all conference honors as a Junior.
