upped his game big time during his senior campaign. He showed off that growth and work in the quarterfinals against ADM on Monday, putting up a monstrous performance for Xavier in his final game.
Dropping 21 points with some elite shot-making from the perimeter and athletic finishes at the rim, Murray showed off why he opened up his recruitment this season with the pursuit of playing college basketball. A solid ball-handler and shot-creator, the 6-foot-1 guard has a future in hoops.

The Saints’ leading scorer, Murray is putting up 20.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.9 steals per game on 53% shooting. He’s a smooth all-around offensive weapon who can play with or without the ball in his hands, shooting it at a 38% clip from the 3-point line.

stepped up in a big way for the Saints, recognizing that he needed to be the offensive catalyst to keep things moving. With the ability to score at all three levels, play at his own pace and show off some bounce near the rim, Murray has the makings of a score-first guard at the next level.
A calm presence on the court that can get you a bucket or get to the free throw line, Murray has all-around game that should allow him to develop into a primary scorer or a secondary scorer at the next level. Like Loffswold is a solid compliment to he and Evans, Murray is an excellent fit with Evans as the secondary playmaker for Xavier.

Murray struggled with his perimeter shot, especially early in the Saints win over Waverly-Shell Rock, but still finished with a team-high 16 points on 6-15 shooting, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals. His work on the defensive end was the most notable aspect of his outing, locking down on that end of the floor and using his quick hands to turn defense into offense routinely for the Saints.
