Allen was a key bench player for a state qualifying team last season, but like ADM, Xavier was hit hard by graduation which will give him plenty of opportunity to take his game to another level this season. The Saints lost their top four, and seven of their top eight scorers from last year’s team, leaving Allen as the lone returning piece with significant experience. He’s a talented three-level scorer who can operate on-or-off the ball and he could emerge as one of the top scorers in the MVC this season.

An off-ball guard who can really shoot it from deep, Allen has a pure release off the catch and moves really well without the ball in his hands. He’s a pure shooter who gets great rotation on his shot, and he does a nice job using the threat of his shot to open up the rest of his offensive game, hitting opponents with backcuts to get to the rim. He has some secondary playmaking ability, seeing the floor well and finding open teammates.
