displayed his floor general abilities in this game. He was an elite passer throughout this game and created many great looks for his team. Traeshon was amazing at creating advantages. He routinely got by his defender and put the defense in a scramble. Once the defense was out of position, he wasted no time reading the floor and finding the open man. He made most of his passes while driving at the rim, and even while flying downhill his passes were on time and accurate, creating wide-open shots because of his ability to draw help defenders. A big reason he was able to flex his passing abilities was how lethal he was as a shooter. Both off the dribble and off the catch, he was able to pull up from way outside and cash in. Because of this shooting threat, defenders were forced to make him go to the rim, where he drew help. He was a great finisher at the rim as well. He hit a very tough euro-step layup that showcased his touch. He displayed high feel as a cutter, and he rarely missed once he got a look at the rim off of a pass.

is the unlikely leading scorer for Cedar Rapids Washington. Still standing at just 5-foot-10 in his sophomore campaign, Fields is willing and able to launch from almost anywhere, 25 feet and in. Using his whole body to fire from deep, Fields will need to continue to add weight to be a more efficient shooter and in order to not get bullied in the paint, but if he maintains his skills as they are and gets in the weight room — and maybe hits a growth spurt — he has a ton of potential.
He finished Washington’s matchup with Norwalk with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Team Iowa Blue’s standout performer Traeshon Fields showed a willingness to drive the lane and get to the rim despite being at size disadvantage. Fields makes up for his lack of size by being aggressive, using his speed and ball handling to maneuver to the basket. His shooting ability is his strongest attribute however with a smooth delivery, Fields has a keen ability to knock down three’s. His ability to run plays and create offensive with good ball movement and passing skills was evident as well.

Despite the quarterfinal loss, Traeshon’s full offensive skillset was on display. He is a 2028 prospect but was playing up at the 15U level this past weekend. He was one of the smaller players on the floor, but he more than makes up for it with his ability to create using the dribble. He is lightning quick and was leaving defenders in the dust all game. He was hitting on shots from well beyond the three-point line and was not scared to absorb contact on takes to the rim.
