Continue ReadingKiir made his debut at Calvary Day this past season. He is an interesting prospect to say the least. Standing close to 6-foot-9, Chol isn’t a post, but more of a wing. He’s extremely fluid on the perimeter, a smooth athlete that has combo-forward capabilities. Kiir is a springy leaper. All the tools are there for Chol to become a serious prospect. He averaged 4.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 block as a freshman. Locating his offensive identity over the next three years will help determine his ceiling.
Jones erupted as a sophomore, averaging 21 points per game and guiding Benedictine to the Class 4A Final Four. Known for his knockdown shooting, Caleb’s shot is funky to say the least. It looks like he shoots with two hands as his off hand comes off the ball a split second before it is released, but it works. Jones has a lightning-fast trigger and can put in points in a hurry. Throughout the tournament, Jones did more than just space the floor. He did a nice job creating as a playmaker off the dribble.
Highlights
While he didn’t get a ton of lost post feeds, Priester showed enough to catch my eye. First off, he has nice size and overall length at 6-foot-7, wiry but by no means skinny. Jaden had good instincts with his back to the basket. The lefty utilized his hook shot off drop steps and was able to backdown his man before finishing. Jaden swatted a pair of shots as well.
Lanky swingman with a versatile offensive game. Netted three threes, scored off a steal, And-1 putback and used a baseline floater to find points. Gets into passing lanes and can make entry passes inside difficult. Provided SEBA with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in their final game.
Spaces the floor with his three-point shot. Good against the zone in the corners. Has a strong frame for a guard. Can use his body to get to his spots and has the ability to help defend players larger than him.
Amir Rosa
Amir Rosa
Physical guard that can play with power or finesse. Shoots the ball from distance with accuracy. Gets a head of steam in transition and can be hard to slow down when charging the rim. Put up 14 points against Team Mookie Betts, cashing in on three deep balls.
AJ Grant
AJ Grant
Long-armed scorer. Made things happen off the dribble. Shoots well on the perimeter. Sank a long two and netted a three off a one-dribble pull-up. Finds the basket in transition. Scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds against the PC Ballers.
