Ty Owens Ty Owens 6’0″ St lucie west centennial | 2023 FL has dominated the AAU scene the past few weeks having his name mentioned by various outlets as a player standout. The 6’1 senior guard has been praised for his floor general playmaking abilities combined with a smooth jumper and consistent defensive tenacity. The Centennial High product finished his high school career with a total of 982 points, 239 rebounds, 159 steals, 290 assists. For his senior season, he recorded 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Owens can be a true point guard asset for a number of teams in the state of Florida.

College coaches in need of a leader that can handle the rock and be an alpha dog on the defensive side have to tap in with class of 2023 Dominic Sanders. Sanders helped lead Colonial High to a record of 24-7 while taking his team to the Final Four for the Florida State Championship in Class 7A. He finished his senior season with a team high 17.6 points per game (Top 10 in Orlando area) with 4.9 rebounds, 3.2 assits, and 4.5 steals to add. Sanders is a pure athlete with the vertical explosiveness to finish strong at the rim and create havoc on the defensive side of the ball with speed and basketball IQ.

Another hot name on the recruiting trail this spring has been the 6-foot-6 the Cardinal Newman forward product Marouf Moumine. Not sure how college coaches at the developing levels miss out on gems like Moumine. Ideal frame with time to add weight where needed but let’s breakdown the lefty’s game. He’s a versatile athlete that can do a number of things on the offensive side but is known for being a deadly sharpshooter that can affect opposing guards with his lengthy wingspan. Moumine finished his senior season with 17.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.6 steals.
