The 6’1 senior guard has been praised for his floor general playmaking abilities combined with a smooth jumper and consistent defensive tenacity. The Centennial High product finished his high school career with a total of 982 points, 239 rebounds, 159 steals, 290 assists. For his senior season, he recorded 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Owens can be a true point guard asset for a number of teams in the state of Florida.

Whoever lands ’23 grad Ty Owens Ty Owens 6'0" St lucie west centennial | 2023 FL is getting a do-it-all guard that can do nearly everything on the basketball floor. Offensively, Owens gets downhill in a hurry with the ability to finish with either hand near the basket. The 6-0 guard is extremely unselfish as well, and can hit pinpoint passes from any difficulty. Defensively, the senior floor general seems to always be in the action with his activity on or away from the ball.

Owens was the forefront of the Centennial Eagles squad who are coming off a 22-5 season in 2021-2022. He has a high basketball IQ and plays with an excellent motor. Last season as a junior, Owens averaged 17.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.8 steals per game which was a big jump from averaging just five points per game as a sophomore. The 6-0 point guard is a lights out shooter as he shot 45 percent from beyond the arc last season. Impact senior season ahead for Owens and the rest of his Centennial High squad.
