In the world of basketball, there are few things more inspiring than seeing a player improve their game. Whether it’s through hard work, determination, or sheer talent, watching a player grow and develop on the court is an amazing sight to behold!
See below for info on SIX more Stock Risers.
Jake Jorenby Jake Jorenby 6'4" | SF Deubrook | 2024 State SD |6’4 SG| Deubrook
He is a good-sized wing with impressive athleticism. Jake is a playmaker going downhill that makes plays on the way to the rim. I checked out some of his film and Jorenby has a smooth stroke. He looks really good in the catch-n-shoot game. He has a reputation for being a tough/gritty defender. Jake will also board up on both ends. I am excited to see him ball in a few weeks at Battle at the Lakes. SD Identity has a nice-looking team and Jorenby is an exciting player.
Zoan Robinson Zoan Robinson 6'3" | SG Vermillion | 2024 SD |6’1 SG| Vermillion
He averaged 15 ppg this year. Robinson and the Tanagers had a big playoff win this season over Lennox and Robinson was TOUGH in the upset victory. Zoan is an explosive athlete and a playmaker. On defense, Zoan can create turnovers and he closes on the ball in a hurry. Zoan is a creative slasher that covers a ton of ground. He can also spot up and cash in the triples.
Jamin Biteler |6’0 G| Sioux Falls Roosevelt
He is a big, strong, and thick guard. Jamin can make plays going to the rim with explosion. He does not have much trouble muscling and bumping past defenders. Biteler is also effective in the pull-up game. He has a nice stepback J and his range goes out well past the 3-point arc. He is hooping with MN Spartans Elite on the UARise Circuit. It would be interesting to see if they match up with Sanford Sports Academy. I would like to see Biteler go head-to-head against his fellow South Dakotans.
Landon Potts Landon Potts 6'2" | CG Yankton | 2024 State SD |6’1 G| Yankton
He was a key role player for the 19-5 Bucks who won the AA State Championship. Potts came off the bench and he was a nice contributor. He did good work with the ball in his hands, he hit shots, and he created for others. Landon shoots it well from downtown and he can also score off the via the slash. The Bucks lose a ton of talent in the backcourt with the Rykens graduating. Expect Potts to be a lead & productive guard for Yankton next season.
Jackson Schofield |6’3 SF| Castlewood
He helped the Warriors take 5th place at State and Castlewood is going to be super-tough next year as well. He has constantly been improving in the past year. Jackson finishes well at the iron and he can score after contact. He seems to get to the line often and Schofield works hard on the glass. His length and mobility are intriguing. Big things are ahead for Schofield.
Jet Janvrin Jet Janvrin 6'0" | PG Rapid City Central | 2024 State SD | 6’0 PG| Rapid City Central
He makes everyone around him a better player. Jet has sharp skills and he hoops with a high IQ. His handles are impressive and Janvrin can make all the passes. He can also score the rock. Jet is a fluid shooter I like his follow-through. Inside the arc, Janvrin is crafty and he has a soft touch. He is known as a great teammate and a selfless player. This kid is a leader and floor general.
