Langley Duo To Transfer
Some big news this morning as Virginia Tech sophomore commits Keyshaun and Kobe Langley informed PrepHoopsNC’s Justin Byerly that they will enroll at Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, North Carolina for their last two years of high school basketball.
The sophomore tandem of Keyshaun and Kobe helped lead SW Guilford High School to a NCHSAA 4-A state championship this past season.
Their father, Keyford Langley had this to say about the move “We needed to get ready for the next level. Love SWHS and coach Shavers, who is one of my best friends, but the boys need that challenge in practice every and in games. Iron Sharpens Iron.”
At Wesleyan Christian, the Langley’s will play under former Maryland star Keith Gatlin. As for Wesleyan Christian as a team, the twins will join up with 2018’s Jaylen Hoard, Maryland commit Aaron Wiggins and big man Ian Steere who is being heavily recruited this spring by major college programs. Deaundre Wilkins will also be back. He is a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward.
The two guards will also play along sophomore Shawn Walker Jr., a high scoring athletic guard for The Trojans.
Wesleyan is one of the top teams in the NCISAA 3-A classification year in and year out. With the new addition, The Trojans are easily favorites for another title for the High Point area school. The Trojans finished 28-5 last season with a loss to Greensboro Day in the finals to end the season.
