Broken Arrow and Norman were the two tallest teams in the state all year long. In the battle of giants, Willenborg ended up being the man to come down with the most rebounds in the game with 11 boards. Unfortunately for the senior and Norman, his jumper wasn’t falling on the day. But he still battled his way to 7 points. The senior has been impressive with his inside-out abilities all season long. As he continues to fill out physically to better hold up around the rim, look for Willenborg to have one of the best college careers of any player in this 2023 class.

After starting his prep career in Florida, Willenborg has played in Oklahoma for the past two years. Last season he was an intriguing hybrid forward, showed some flashes on defense, hit the occasional jumper. He also closer to 6 foot 6. Now he stands 6 foot 8 with a good frame and is starting to put on good weight. He projects as a player that looks to be a valuable stretch forward candidate at the next level.
The Norman Tiger is a true inside-outside threat. He regularly drains mid-range and three pointers with great form and consistency. But he does not float around the perimeter. He’s a scrappy battler, who is becoming more and more active as a shot blocker and rebounder. There’s flashes of him being disruptive as a perimeter defender as well. One example of this was closing out on a three pointer shooter to seal a win in the closing moments earlier this week.
Willenborg is the type of long term prospect, then when looking back in 5 years could easily have one of the most successful and productive college careers of any player in the class.
