NTBA Tournament Recap: Angel Elite 16U finishes in 2nd Place!
Last Saturday at the Fayetteville, NC NTBA tournament we got the opportunity to watch the 16U championship game that followed the 17U game. The teams that met up to do battle were, Angel Elite vs The Fayetteville Magic, both teams displayed some very talented youngsters and had players that I was absolutely impressed with. In the end the Fayetteville Magic would go on to take home the hardware, however there was players on both teams that were truly impressive. Let’s a take a look first at the Angel Elite squad standout players:
Angel Elite 2019 Wing Charles Massey: Has a very smooth but athletic game, spends a lot of time above the rim. Rebounds the ball very well, does a great job of boxing out when they shot goes up. Already has a frame that looks like he is a high school senior, has a chance to be a player that colleges will want to keep a close eye on.
Angel Elite 2019 F/C Jaden Kirkland: Does an outstanding job rebounding the ball, run the floor well for a big, blocks shots and has a solid frame which helps him greatly inside. Offensively he is still developing but we expect to see some big things from this young man over the next two years.
Angel Elite 2019 Wing Cam Billups: Lefty that can shoot the ball well from deep, very unselfish player, nice potential. Will be looked at to play major mins this upcoming season for his high school team (Fayetteville Academy).
Angel Elite 2019 Guard Chris Locklear: Is a very quick guard that brings it on both ends of the floor, had countless plays where he came up with steals and deflections to get the team out into transition.
Angel Elite 2019 Guard Langdon Boleik: Knock down shooter from the perimeter, he’s a player that came in and provided that asset to the team in pool play as well as the championship game.
