Stock Boosting Teams

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Cherry Creek</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cherry Creek's last three wins are all against solid teams beating: Eaglecrest and Ralston Valley and most impressively one of the top 3 teams in the state ThunderRidge. During the Ralston Valley game, [player_tooltip player_id='965780' first='Blake' last='Purchase'] 6'4 F, and [player_tooltip player_id='1453520' first='Dominic' last='Cesario-Scott'] 6'7 F returned to the court. These two added much-needed length and the Gatorade Football Player of the Year [player_tooltip player_id='965780' first='Blake' last='Purchase'] is an elite athlete who will be a big piece for this team. This seems to be a typical start for Cherry Creek where they start the season slower but once they get their football players more involved they look better as the season progresses. [player_tooltip player_id='973211' first='Trevon' last='Chambers'], [player_tooltip player_id='1389081' first='Charlie' last='Pugh'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1578212' first='Robbie' last='Bailey'] have been effective in shooting the ball from outside and Trevon and Charlie have great height for their positions. They also have two standout freshmen, [player_tooltip player_id='1510473' first='Jeremiah' last='Hammond'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1509238' first='Franck' last='Belibi'], who are seeing solid minutes and could potentially see bigger roles later in the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong> Windsor</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Windsor is coming off of a solid streak of wins beating Vista PEAK Prep, Legend, Eaglecrest, and Cherokee Trail. the standout player for Windsor has been senior PG [player_tooltip player_id='1577977' first='David' last='Hageman']. David is averaging 21.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 3.3 steals in the last four games. When David is hot from beyond the three-point arc he can absolutely light it up! It is also very impressive that in these last three wins, they have been without their second-leading scorer [player_tooltip player_id='1509232' first='Madden' last='Smiley'] who is out with an injury. Colby Schuck has been a standout role player for them, being a solid rebounder for a guard and an unselfish guard who makes the correct reads.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Arvada West</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Arvada West has had an up-and-down season but has shown led by their senior duo but they have shown can beat some very good teams beating Fort Collins this week. Their senior duo is made of [player_tooltip player_id='1420177' first='Jasper' last='Padia'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1285117' first='Carson' last='Nichols']. Jasper is a 6'5 wing who is very talented at scoring from close to mid-range. Jasper has also been a solid defender who can hold his own guarding multiple positions. [player_tooltip player_id='1285117' first='Carson' last='Nichols'] is a big combo guard who is very good at pushing the tempo for his team. He can create for himself off of the dribble or by moving without the ball. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Highlands Ranch</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Highlands Ranch is a senior-heavy squad coming off of three very impressive wins beating Legacy, Vista Ridge, and Rocky Mountain. Jeremy Jacob has been a solid all-around guard for the team who does most of his scoring within the three-point arc. [player_tooltip player_id='1441491' first='Jack' last='Bakken'] is the second-leading rebounder and leads the team in assists with 6.1 per game, showing his versatility as a guard. Aiden Krusoe has been a sturdy shooting option from the outside. This team plays well together and has a lot of contributors, I am very interested to see how they compete in the Continental League this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rock Canyon</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rock Canyon is 11-1 after a good trip out of state going undefeated, then following it up with a big win against Valor Christian. [player_tooltip player_id='1577994' first='Gavin' last='Hershberger'] has been leading this team on both ends of the floor, being a true point guard who gets his teammates in the right spots. Recently [player_tooltip player_id='1284411' first='Aidan' last='Peck'] has stepped up showing off his versatility averaging 16.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in his last three games. [player_tooltip player_id='1318387' first='Mac' last='Terry'] has been a steady contributor to the team and is a versatile piece due to his high IQ on the court. Mac has a nice jump shot and seems to make the right play more often than not. This team is looking like one of the top teams in the state and a potential 6A title contender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
