Let me start by telling you this young man from New Zealand has only been in the states a short time. Yes he has played against men basically in his home country but he has adapted and just about perfected the US brand of basketball. On this night he showed good ball handling and toughness. The ability to get into the lane. But he was downright nasty nailing three pointers from beyond the arc a lot of times with a hand in his face.

He is a flat-out shooter that has never come across a shot he didn’t like. Throughout the game, he knocked down shots from deep. I had a chance to see him earlier this year at the Air Capital Hoopfest in Wichita, KS. They played Oak Hill and he went on a run after being down 15 plus, he was instrumental in knocking down three consecutive three-pointers to lead the charge. He only needs a little bit of space to get his shot off and what impressed me the most, he didn’t need a bunch of dribbles to create space.
