Centerville was invited to The Throne Hoops public school national tournament, and I thought ‘Tommy’ had some impressive performances at that event. He plays hard, can score around the paint with his frame and touch at the rim. I was also impressed with how Gankhuyag defended in space against the quicker guards that he saw at the event. Should be an option for small college programs based on his production and ability to produce for one of the top high school programs in the Midwest, I expect colleges from a variety of levels to come calling about Gankhuyag.

‘Tommy’ as he’s commonly referred to by teammates and coaches has fit in really well with Centerville this season and came up huge in their victory over Pickerington Central in a state title rematch this regular season. Gankhuyag’s physicality and rebounding have been key when the Elks take on prep programs with more size than high school teams. I was impressed with Gankhuyag’s feel for the game and efficiency around the hoop.

Dulguun played great basketball last weekend in Columbus and was intrumental in the Elks revenge win against Pickerington Central. Brings some stretch 4 capability with a good midrange jump shot, or workhorse on the blocks. Having guards like Gabe Cupps and Jonathan Powell to get the ball to Dulguun gives him a chance to show what all he has in his arsenal offensively.

also referred to as ‘Tommy’ was maybe the most productive offensive player for Centerville in their victory over Pickerington Central in a state title rematch. Gankhuyag played a complete game by knocking down some mid-range shots, making the smart pass as a short roll man and grabbing key rebounds on both ends. Gankhuyag is a guy I didn’t really know anything about heading into the event but left a huge fan, his play even had a section of fans chanting his name after every bucket he would make. We’ll see if Gankhuyag continues this impressive effort as the season moves along but he will debut in our 2023 rankings during the next update.
