This article will focus on the best available players in the 2023 class through December 24. Note: these are players I have seen in person so far this year. There are numerous prospects on the slate to be seen in 2022 or 2023.
Hardy is the best available PG prospect I have seen after watching him both at the Elks Elite Showcase and the Ohio PBP. The lefty guard has some of the more explosive attacks I’ve seen this season and I’ve watched him score from multiple levels against 2 teams with scholarship talent on their roster. Hardy is continuing to show me he too can be a scholarship athlete, and Division II programs should be monitoring his play.
Dudukovich is easily the best available SG I’ve seen in Ohio. Possesses the physical tools to be a scholarship guard with a muscular frame and 6’3 body. Not to mention Dudukovich is one of the best shooters in the state as well. Shown ability to create shots off the dribble or on catch-and-shoot. Dudukovich’s recruitment has been somewhat quiet and under the radar, but he has been a target for some low major and Division II programs so far this year.

Head has played about as well as you can ask so far this year for a loaded Lutheran East. Being on a team with so much talent has allowed Head to be seen by multiple college coaches from multiple levels. Head’s versatility and ability to play either guard positions makes him intriguing to evaluate and watch. Head is a borderline LM/Division II prospect in my eyes.
Amapps played extremely well against St. Charles last weekend at the 5 C’s at Capital University. While he might not be the biggest prospect, Amapps arguably has one of the best attributes as he is an aggressive and disciplined defender. While undersized, Amapps is one of the more unafraid defenders I’ve seen as he will go up against any player regardless of size and bring that same physicality and composure.

Dulguun played great basketball last weekend in Columbus and was intrumental in the Elks revenge win against Pickerington Central. Brings some stretch 4 capability with a good midrange jump shot, or workhorse on the blocks. Having guards like Gabe Cupps and Jonathan Powell to get the ball to Dulguun gives him a chance to show what all he has in his arsenal offensively.
Stratford looks much different than AAU season as he has slimmed down quite a bit. Looking a little quicker and more confident with the ball outside the paint, Stratford has made a case for one of the best low post prospects available in the state. If SVSM can continue to win games, more coaches/scouts will be checking out the 6’8 big man,
