MC Scrimmage Session Two

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday Nov 12 PH NorCal was at Modesto Christian for the Annual Scrimmage featuring 12 school from around NorCal and Central California. 4 teams per session. In this group was St. Joseph of Santa Maria, Jesuit, Weston Ranch, and Buchanan. Standouts from this group include</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1127706' first='Ahjani' last='Lewis'] 6'1 2024 Guard of Jesuit. He took advantage of his opportunity to show us he has a good all-around set of guard skills. He has good shooting form. He was most effective after receiving a pass, either converting his shot with a nice pull-up jumper, or making a good passing decision. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1380758' first='Elliot' last='Mobley'] 6'1 2023 Guard of Weston Ranch. He produces in ways that might not show up on the stat sheet. He'll get a steal, pass it up, he'll take a charge. He has good handles, speed to attack from different angle, he's a willing passer, and a top notch defender, and a lane filler. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1630616' first='Tounde' last='Yessoufou'] 6'5 2025 W/F of St. Joesph Santa Maria HS. He's probably the top 2025 prospect on the West Coast. We know he's athletic with incredible hops, we know he knocks down open 3's at a good percentage. We saw better handles than we expected as he create dribble drive opportunities for himself. He did some post ups, where he just uses strength or just rises over everybody. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Luis Marin 6'6 2023 Guard of St. Joseph HS. He's a big guard with excellent flow to his game. He'll produce points handling the ball creating for himself, or playing off moving, cutting and posting up at times. He had several different moves he uses to get to the basket, including a nice spin with balance. He contributes in different ways, rebounding, passing, his jump shot goes in long, and short. He can guard multiple positions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1256578' first='Cole' last='Epperson'] 6'8 2024 W/F of Jesuit HS. He's proving himself to be an effective prospect who can generate buckets working on the outside and in the post area. His handles allow him to attack from the baseline, he got multiple buckets, and rebounds working in the post. He can spot up in the corner for 3's, he'll come down in transition looking to score one way or the other. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1124083' first='Kevin' last='Haupt'] 5'10 2024 Guard. He definitely picks up the slack when his team needs a lift. He knocked down mid-range jumpers off the dribble, 3ptrs at the top, and in the corner in the crunch. He's showing his shiftiness, and cleverness going by defenders using inside hand, off hand finishes to keep bigs off balance at the bucket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Caedin Hamilton 2023 Center 6'9 of St. Joseph HS. He's a big body post player with good activity and awareness in the post on defense. He has presence in the post, and the body to bump, and bang with the big boys. He'll get rebounds. He's a deliberate worker in the post, a drop step, a strong power move turning and going up. He's a big target rolling to the basket. He's a good passer and screener.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Will Kuykendall 6'3 2023 G/W of St. Joseph HS. He played solid ball all day, not a lot of flash just hard work and hustling to make plays for his team. He found ways to score. He hit some open jump shots, he filled lanes in transition, he drove along the baseline to challenge at the rim. He's a solid passer and mover. He works hard to stay in front of his man on the defensive side.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
