Yessoufou is a 6’5” small forward that is the all time leading scorer in California high school basketball history. He is built like a grown man and plays with the mentality that has made many players at Baylor successful. Strong and physical wing that plays with all out motor on both ends. In a scrimmage it was his defense that set the tone. He had multiple steals which led to points on the other end, trapped creating turnovers, and was diving on the floor after loose balls. The wing is a plus offensive rebounder and can win off the dribble on straight line takes.

is extremely well-built and strong, attacking the basket effectively going left or right and finishing above the rim, often through contact. He creates separation with his handle and is a smooth midrange and 3-point shooter, excelling in transition. Defensively versatile, Yessoufou is a defensive playmaker thanks to his quickness, strength, and instincts.

He’s one of the top prospects in California probably regardless of class. He’s a dominant player with size and abilities to takeover a game at the high school level in most games. He finished with 30pts in a variety of ways one can score points in a game. He’s proven he’s not just a player that goes inside to get a bucket using his strength and going up higher than most. He did that but, also knocked down a 3 from the top, he handled, passed and made good decisions, along with gathering rebounds and blocks.

Tounde was excellent this weekend showcasing his ability to score at all 3 levels, his dominant physicality on both ends, and his eye catching dynamism in the open court. Yessoufou has a deep offensive vocabulary and keeps defenders on their toes by always being ready to throw a new move at whomever is guarding him.
