Christian Jones Christian Jones 5'10" | PG BFL Prep Academy | 2025 WA – PSAT (2025)
This was my first time getting to watch Christian Jones Christian Jones 5'10" | PG BFL Prep Academy | 2025 WA on the hardwood since he transferred to PSAT from Mayde Creek. He definitely seemed like he has a new sense of urgency when it comes to attacking the game in a different way this season. Jones was never afraid to spot up for a jumper when his team needed a bucket and his quickness allowed him to get past his matchup whenever attacking the basket, often converting a tough layup or floater over the top of the defense. Jones also demonstrated exceptional defensive awareness on the other end, notching about 4-5 steals per contest that were often made into easy transition buckets. Jones and Cole will make a great backcourt duo for PSAT heading into the upcoming season.
Shelton Henderson Shelton Henderson 6'7" | SF Bellaire | 2025 State #89 Nation TX – Bellaire (2025)
Fresh off being the new RCS Sports #1 ranked 2025 player in the city of Houston, Shelton Henderson Shelton Henderson 6'7" | SF Bellaire | 2025 State #89 Nation TX put on a pair of impressive performances at the Tune Up scrimmages on Saturday against high quality opponents Atascocita and PSAT. Henderson is a big time guard who has no problem using his size to his advantage on both ends of the floor and contributes greatly to his teams overall performance. Shelton was often able to easily fly to the rim and hammer home a slam over his matchup or dish the ball to a teammate who would often knock down the open look. He will continue to be a force to be reckoned with matched up against other top guards in the city, looking to leave his mark on Houston this year!
Nigel Walls Nigel Walls 6'10" | C St. Francis Episcopal | 2025 State #69 Nation TX – St. Francis Episcopal (2025)
Nigel came into the OTR Tune Up scrimmages as one of the premier big men looking to make an impact and he certainly did make his mark! Walls showed his dominance down in the post, finishing tough dunks over matchups and blocking shots at the basket. Nigel also showed he can hit shots from range as well, converting several open jumpers whenever the defense would sag off. He displayed a mastery of the pick and roll as the receiver, where he always knew the right spot under the basket to get the pass and finish. Nigel and teammate O’Marion Harvey O’Marion Harvey 6'7" | SF St. Francis Episcopal | 2025 State #381 Nation TX will be two of the clear key leaders moving forward for this young St. Francis squad as they continue to trend uphill!
Nasir Price Nasir Price 6'3" | CG Link Academy | 2026 MO – Seven Lakes (2026)
Nasir was one of the more talented young guards heading into these scrimmages and he displayed his prowess on both ends of the hardwood this weekend. Nasir was a master of the midrange pull up and used it to his advantage all too often. Coaches tried telling their defenders to stop Price, but he still showed efficiency over outstretched hands of the matchups. Price was also very effective in driving to the rim and finishing through the foul, making many of his free throw attempts. Nasir will continue to play a major role in the backcourt, alongside highly ranked teammate Bates and will continue to up his game to the next level, leading to a Seven Lakes playoff run.
