Speaking of speed, Marquivion was one of the quickest players I saw all winter, and that quickness once again stood out on Sunday. His ability to go from 0-60 in the blink of an eye was allowing him to blow by defenders and get to the rim off the dribble. Any time he saw a gap, he was able to capitalize and get off high percentage shots around the rim. Even though he’s often the smallest player on the floor, he’s such a crafty finisher who can extend away from his body and lay it off the glass from a variety of angles to finish over height. Nice showing from the Woodbury guard.

Beasley is one of the quickest players I’ve seen all season. He came off the bench and immediately made an impact as Rosemount didn’t have a defender who could keep him in front. Even though he was typically the smallest player on the floor, Beasley was fearless getting to the basket and looking to finish against size. He had no problem absorbing some contact and extending to finish, while also being able to hang in the air and just outlast guys in the air before laying it up. Has range beyond the arc which forces defenders to guard him tight, leaving them vulnerable to him blowing by. Finished with 28 points.
