919 Prospects to Watch, Part I

He produced 15.1 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 5.5 bpg and 3.1 apg during his junior year in 2021-22. Look for him to turn some heads this fall at Apex High.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1168834' first='Jake' last='Hart'] - Fuquay-Varina High</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hart is a floor general that continues to fly under the radar. He's a do-it-all guard that would certainly draw the interest of local DIIs and DIIIs with his skillset. Guilford College offered him this past summer as well. He's due for a strong senior year led by a well-coached staff.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1614295' first='Caleb' last='Surgers'] - Panther Creek</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Surgers didn't see much time as a junior but entering his senior year, he's got athleticism and ability at 6-foot-6 at the forward spot to expend. Look for him to play a role as they look to return to the state title game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1343876' first='Jayan' last='Walker'] - Millbrook High</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Walker played a pivotal role in the backcourt this past season for Jordan High. He'll look to do the same with the Millbrook Wildcats as a 1-2 punch along with [player_tooltip player_id='1272558' first='Colt' last='Langdon'] this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1014991' first='Kevon' last='Vanderhorst'] - Trinity Academy Raleigh</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vanderhorst will be looked upon to carry the load for the Tigers in 2022-23 with some key losses from last season. He's certainly got the potential to do so with his ability to take over games and control the pace.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>[player_tooltip player_id='1613023' first='Jon' last='Mwanda'] - Heritage High</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mwanda holds an offer from Radford already. He's a wiry point guard that can dial it up from deep wherever and can make defenders' jobs difficult with his ability to attack off the bounce. He'll be one to watch at Heritage High in the 2025 class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
