6’4 W Ethan Simmons || Tooele High School || 2023 ||
This kid is going to be a sleeper in this class because of his sheer will and athletic ability. He is strong and you pair that up with his skills and continual development he could be a solid player for a small school looking for a strong 3 that can defend and create for himself. Ethan attacks the rim and tries to go at anyone standing in his way. Could really be a steal for anyone looking beyond or deep in the rankings for now.
6’3 W Mayson Jeppson || Box Elder High School || 2025 ||
2025 Sleeper Alert! This kid has a nice little game. Smooth back to the basket game and face-up game in the post and he is shifty laterally which makes him tough to defend and it makes it easy for him to get off some clean looks. When he rebounds he has the ability to push the ball up the floor and he has a good handle and he is creative in the open floor using various moves like his euro-step. Shoots the ball from the outside and he looks comfortable inside and out on the offensive end. a lot of room left to grow his game, so a lot of upside as well.
6’1 PG Cal Hopkins || Skyline High School || 2024 ||
Cal has a nice pace to his game and a burst when he changes directions. Good little left to right that can get him in the lane to create for himself and others. In a catch and shoot he can really hit those long balls as he has proved he is an outside threat. He has some speed and gets out and runs the floor well and can finish through contact. Solid game that starts with some handle to him and some good shooting. Nice game moving forward that can continue to develop.
6’3 SF Logan Weidauer Logan Weidauer 6'5" | SF Dixie | 2024 State UT || Copper Hills High School || 2024 ||
Logan had a great season last year getting in and making some positive plays and he has a bright future ahead as he will likely replace a lot of the scoring that graduated from Copper Hills last season. He is somewhat of a Swiss Army Knife with the way he plays as he can play from the perimeter with a great shot and he can slither his way into the lane and get to the rim. Really like that he can create for himself and others. Look for him to take over at CHHS as he can really shoot the ball and the run a lot of well designed plays that will get him some really good looks.
