1.) 2023 Max Burt Max Burt 6'0" | PG Newman Catholic | 2023 State IA (Newman Catholic) – 27/55 (49.1%)
A 6-0 lead guard who has committed to play baseball at Iowa, Burt isn’t a big-time scorer, rather looking to get others involved first and foremost. But he’s a highly efficient scorer when he does look to do so, posting 57-49-60 shooting splits as a junior. He’s a knockdown shooter when he’s given a bit of space.
2.) 2024 Aiden Flathers (Exira-EHK) – 39/80 (48.8%)
Flathers had a big sophomore season for the Spartans, ranking second on the team in scoring and leading them in assists. He’s a talented shooter who can play both with and without the ball in his hands.
3.) 2023 Jaxon Bunkers Jaxon Bunkers 5'11" | SF St. Mary's, Remsen | 2023 State IA (Remsen, St. Mary’s) – 54/112 (48.2%)
The leading scorer for a highly efficient offensive team, Bunkers is a 6-1 wing who averaged just under 13 points a game as a junior. He’s a gifted three-level scorer who doesn’t force anything. He’s always on balance and has a quick release off the catch.
4.) 2024 Evan Hinders (West Hancock) – 33/69 (47.8%)
A 6-1 off-ball guard, Hinders came off the bench to provide a scoring spark for the Eagles as a sophomore and figures to step into a bigger role as a junior. He’s a true shooter who saw 69 of his 76 field goal attempts come from behind the arc last season (91%).
5.) 2023 Mason King Mason King 5'10" | PG West Harrison | 2023 State IA (West Harrison) – 69/151 (45.7%)
The highest volume shooter on this list, King averaged nearly six 3-point attempts a game last season en route to leading the state-qualifying Hawkeyes in scoring. He’s a crucial part of a trio that is among the best trios in the class, and his ability to stretch the floor and shoot it both off the dribble and the catch is invaluable.
6.) 2023 Blaise Porter Blaise Porter 6'1" | PG New London | 2023 State #298 Nation IA (New London) – 37/83 (44.6%)
Arguably the most talented player in 1A, Porter holds Division I offers and certainly has the looks of a Division I player. He’s shifty and lightning-quick with the ball in his hands, which helps him get to the bucket as well as create space to get his shot off. He has steadily increased his range, which has made him an even more dangerous offensive threat.
7.) 2025 Cam Seuferer (Southeast Warren) – 34/77 (44.2%)
The lone sophomore on this list, Seuferer made an immediate impact as a freshman for the Warhawks, averaging 9.7 points a game and emerging as the team’s top perimeter scoring threat.
8.) 2023 Teagon Fothergill (North Union) – 26/61 (42.6%)
Another true shooter, 76% of Fothergill’s points last season came as a result of made 3-pointers.
9.) 2024 Sage Suntken Sage Suntken 6'0" | CG West Fork | 2024 State IA (West Fork) – 48/113 (42.5%)
Suntken had a really good summer with the Iowa Mavericks, showcasing his ability to both score and facilitate. He’s a knockdown shooter who gets the ball into his shooting pocket quickly off the dribble. He looks primed to have a big junior year for a Warhawks team that should be much improved.
10.) 2023 Caleb Egesdal Caleb Egesdal 5'10" | SG Gladbrook-Reinbeck | 2023 State IA (Gladbrook-Reinbeck) – 60/142 (42.3%)
Egesdal is the perfect complement to running mate William Kiburis William Kiburis 6'4" | PG Gladbrook-Reinbeck | 2023 State IA , who is one of the best passers in the state. Egesdal does a great job moving without the ball in his hands, utilizing off-ball screens to create space to get his shot off. He has a quick release off the catch and extended range.
