Javon Barbee Javon Barbee 6'4" | SG Franklin Pierce | 2025 State WA | Emerald City Basketball Academy
This 6’1 crafty finisher was on a mission this weekend! Everything he did was just so smooth and unrushed. He can create for himself and others by using his ball-handling and shot-creating skills. He is very unselfish and enjoys putting his teammates in scoring opportunities. He attacks the offensive boards with unrelenting effort! He doesn’t care what size you are on the defensive end either, he boxes out anyone near the rim to secure the extra possession. He is a menace in the passing lanes as well, using his length and quickness to get tips and fast break opportunities for his team.
Kayin Turner | Progress Elite
Kayin was one of my favorite athletes in attendance for the West Coast Clash. He is a 6’5 guard that does it all. What stood out the most was he was an amazing leader on the court, all coaches are looking for an extension of the coach on the floor and he did it effortlessly. Looked so natural to him! He is a sound offensive player, not making mistakes and creating for himself and his teammates. Great spatial awareness, and a knockdown shooter from anywhere. His athleticism was outstanding as well. He used his strength, speed, and quickness to strap in on defense and tire out the opposition. He looked like he was having so much fun on defense, which is amazing to witness.
Jackson Reijonen | Built4Ball
I’ve been watching this kid all year. Not many people know of him because he played on a State contending team, Mt. Spokane. He played JV all year but is really making enormous strides to be ready for next year and a shot to play varsity basketball. Jackson is a 6’2 guard, that can do almost anything! He is a good shooter from anywhere on the floor and has amazing footwork in the paint to score and 1’s or just get his defender off their feet for an easy layup. He almost always starts off every game with the bigger post players on him, but the coaches always make quick adjustments and put a guard on him when they witness his skill. On the defensive end, this kid works hard and defends the rim with a vertical body every time. He is always in help defense! Jackson is going to make the most out of every opportunity he has on the court.
Kelyan Wandji | Emerald City Basketball Academy
Kelyan was a man amongst boys out there on the court. He is a 6’2 WORKHORSE, with a huge frame! He uses his body very well in the paint, getting easy back down layups, and even showed a left and right hook shot. His motor was amazing and he seemed to never tire. He operated very well in the pick and roll, either rolling to the rim or stepping out for a jumper. Kelyan was a tireless defender and made the offense work hard for everything!
Jacob Hurst | Emerald City Basketball Academy
Jacob stands at 6’4, with long arms. The first thing you notice when watching him is that he sets amazing screens. His timing when rolling or slipping the screen is also amazing. He really knows how to operate in a pick-and-roll situation. But it doesn’t stop there, as he is a knockdown shooter from 18 feet in. You can’t forget about him in a pick-and-roll because the kid will make you pay. He has a very high motor that makes you tire out as a defender. He also plays really well on the block or in the paint with his back to the basket, showing the ability to go to his left or right hand.
