Phoenix Glassnor Phoenix Glassnor 6'0" | PG Warren De La Salle | 2025 State MI , CMB (MI) 2025
Glassnor had 10 points to start with some nice shooting a ton of quickness inside against Wisconsin Crusaders. His slashing and ball handling abilities are what stands out most. I saw him score from all three levels, and hit some clutch shots at the end of the first game. He ended that game with 23 points. Glassnor showed off again in their next game. He finished with 28 points and I saw him display a similar skillset. What I noticed the most was his layup package and the ability to finish through contact. Glassnor already contributed to a state championship team for his high school in Michigan.
Chris McLavish Jr Chris McLavish Jr 5'8" | PG Kell | 2025 State GA , CMB (MI) 2025
What stood out the most from McLavish was his shooting. And it’s not the fact that he was making his shots, but the fact that almost all of them were nothing but net. The confidence of McLavish was unbelievable, with four 3’s in the first half against Wisconsin crusaders. He hit three more in the 2nd half that game to secure a tough win. In the second game, he continued to let it fly, hitting five more 3’s as CMB cruised to another win.
Brendan Cargill, West Michigan Lakers 2025
Cargill is a smaller guard who took a little while to get going. But he was unstoppable once he got hot. He went on a massive tear in the 2nd half against BNB with 8 quick points. Cargill found scoring opportunities from all three levels and finished with 16 points. He helped extend the lead to over 20 at one point. They won 64-46 and Cargill dropped 16.
Leo Perettie Leo Perettie 5'11" | PG Grosse Pointe North | 2025 State MI , Michigan Goonies 2025
He was one of my top players when I watched this team in Chicago last month. Perettie getting his teammates involved early for the Goonies against MBA Hoops. He was super explosive down the lane too. I really liked the effort he put in during the first game, as he finished with 10 points. Unlike last month, Perettie started to shoot a lot more. I saw him knock down a three and a midrange shot this afternoon. He also got his teammates more involved. He didn’t stop there as he made a really nice block in the second game.
Joseph DeCasas Joseph DeCasas 6'0" | PG Notre Dame Prep | 2025 State MI , Michigan Goonies 2025
He wasn’t there when I saw his team play in Chicago. But he really stood out Saturday afternoon. I really liked his ability to find space in transition. If a player was guarding the paint, Decasas would go in the corner so a teammate driving down the lane can find him open for three. Those kinds of buckets happened a couple times. Like Perettie, Decasas displayed some excellent slashing abilities. He scored 19 as the Goonies won 55-41. I saw him put on a similar show in game 2 with three second-half long balls.
Ador Mawut, B3 Athletics (MI) 2025
Mawut was balling for B3 athletics early. In the opening minutes, he had two blocks and 7 points. He converted an impressive and-one to fall in transition for his third bucket, and had two more baskets inside. He kept that confidence going later in the first half with a monster jam and a 3-pointer. Mawut also picked up a few steals. He has lots of strengths to his game.
Rodney Hackman, Top 1 Basketball Club (MI) 2024
He was a force in two afternoon games. Hackman had 17 points at halftime. He displayed some terrific post moves and got buckets with both hands. A nice fadeaway jumper showed his true potential to be a solid forward. When the Warriors were up comfortably, Hackman continued to make big plays to keep his team in it. He was super physical too and played well on the glass. He finished with 25 points despite the loss and was easily the top player out there. In the second game, he scored another 20 points as they cruised to an easy victory.
Jaydon Weddle, MBA Lakeshore 2025
He was firing from all cylinders for MBA Lakeshore despite the loss. Had two early threes, and when his team was down 20, he wouldn’t quit. He should cut the deficit to as low as 7 with plenty of time left. His confidence scoring from the corner was extraordinary. Weddle finished with 30 points.
Keegan Vankauwenberg, Wisconsin Crusaders 2025
Despite the close loss to a tough CMB squad, The 6’3″ wing was unstoppable. He probably should have made last weeks standout lists too. He’s got terrific upside and showed that early this morning. He’s been one of the most confident shooters I’ve seen in his class with 22 first half points and found buckets from all over the floor. Vankauwenberg hit five long-balls in the first half and was almost unstoppable. He can score from all three levels and really gets it going after he hits a few shots. He finished that game with 35 points.
George Richardson, Hoopademix (IL) 2025
Richardson was spectacular in two games I watched Saturday morning. . Richardson was hot in the paint to start off the first game. When his teammate got hot scoring later on, he contributed heavily on defense. Forced tough shots and picked up a few steals. What he did in the second game was unstoppable. already had 28 points early in the 2nd half for Hoopademix in their second game against All-In Sports. He’d finish with 32 in a 62-32 blowout win. He did everything possible in the paint with rebounds, blocked shots, excellent footwork, and of course, finding the bottom of the net. to help his team win two games.
