Connor Stonebraker Connor Stonebraker 6'7" | PF Versailles | 2023 State OH , 6’7 PF Versailles 2023 – Ohio Buckets Turf: Stonebraker is a sleeper out of Western Ohio who won player of the year in the MAC last season. Stonebraker has a good frame at 6’7 and showed some promise from the outside with his jumper. Coming from a football factory in Versailles, it’s not surprising that Stonebraker has solid core strength and isn’t easily pushed around by opposing bigs. Stonebraker didn’t get a ton of chances with the ball in his hands in the game and a half that I watched, but I’m intrigued to watch him again and think he’s a definite scholarship level prospect.
Baden Forup Baden Forup 6'7" | C Lexington | 2023 State OH , 6’7 C Lexington 2023 – Ohio Buckets Miller: Forup has good size at 6’7 and despite coming off the bench, made an impact in the paint in the one game I caught of him. Forup scored around the basket and showed good form from the free-throw line in the only outside shot he attempted all game. There aren’t players at his size walking around everywhere and I’d imagine Division III programs will take looks at Forup this spring and summer.
Parker Schofield Parker Schofield 6'2" | CG Anthony Wayne | 2023 State OH , 6’2 CG Anthony Wayne 2023 – Ohio Buckets Miller: Schofield was another player on Ohio Buckets Miller who stood out to me this past weekend. Schofield showed the ability to run the offense and play off the ball and impact the game offensively. Schofield can shoot it off the catch and plays off two feet when attacking the basket. Another solid Division III target out of NW Ohio on an Ohio Buckets Miller squad that should be heavily watched by Division III and NAIA coaches.
Aidan Pratt Aidan Pratt 6'5" | PF Van Wert | 2023 State OH , 6’5 PF Van Wert 2023 – NW Ohio 17 U: Pratt was the best athlete on NW Ohio’s 17 U squad as the multi-sport stud showed what he could do on the basketball court this weekend. Pratt was physical on the interior, using the skills he’s gained on the football field to dominate the interior. Pratt had an impressive dunk in the half-court with defenders nearby and showed the ability to score in the paint. We’ll see if Pratt opts to play football or basketball at the next level, but he’s 100% a college basketball prospect if that’s his sport of choice.
Bradyn Shaw Bradyn Shaw 6'1" | PG Defiance | 2023 State OH , 6’0 PG Defiance 2023 – NW Ohio 17 U: Shaw was the other new name from NW Ohio’s 17 U group that intrigued me. Shaw led his team in scoring in the game I watched due to his impressive outside shooting ability. Shaw would get NW Ohio into their offense and often times the ball would find him late in the possession for an open catch and shoot 3-pointer. Shaw also had a couple floaters that showed he can score when attacking the basket without needing to get all the way to the rim and be contested by larger rim protectors.
