used his size and skill to lead Bossier to a dominant win over Richwood. A next-level talent, Woods is a player to watch as he prepares for his college basketball career next season. Standing at 6’7″, he combines the size of a forward with the skills of a small guard, making him a matchup nightmare.
If he can see the basket, he can score. Woods is a physical player who is deceptively strong, thriving in contact situations. He’s relentless in getting to his spots on the court, but he’s also more than capable of pulling up for a shot when the defense doesn’t step up. His size proved too much for Richwood to handle as he finished with 24 points, consistently exploiting mismatches and using his strength to power through the defense.

Dean Woods: The Star Who Led Bossier’s Biggest Upset set to Shine Bright at Xavier
Dean Woods was a standout performer at the event, leading Bossier to what was arguably the biggest upset of the tournament. In a game where many believed Bossier was outmatched, Woods stepped up and scored 24 points against Good Vision, proving his ability to shine under pressure. He wasn’t done there, also adding back-to-back 16-point performances throughout the event, solidifying his status as one of the top players in the field.
At 6’7″, Woods is a stretch forward with the handles of a guard, making him a nightmare matchup for opposing teams. His on-court persona is tough, almost bully-like, and he’s always looking for a new challenge to take on. Despite facing taller opponents standing at 6’8″ and 6’9″, Woods used his superior skill and agility to outplay them, showcasing his versatility and basketball IQ.
Recently, Woods committed to play at Xavier University, where his future looks incredibly bright. He has already been recognized for scoring 1,000 points in his high school career and has a state championship under his belt. An all-around winner, Woods is ready to take his talents to the next level and continue making waves at Xavier, where his combination of size, skill, and mentality will make him a force to be reckoned with.

Dean-Woods is the best player in Shreveport-Bossier. He is the leader of a Bossier team with a younger supporting cast, however. Tuesday night, he will need to show leadership with his talent and vocally. Communicating on offense and defense will be paramount for this team. Getting Dean-Woods the ball in scoring position will be important as well. If those two things happen, Dean-Woods will flourish.

“Three and D” wing. Long arms and big time bounce made him a human highlight reel in Oklahoma City with lobs, transition slams and more. Shot it with confidence as a catch and shoot option. Covers a lot of ground on defense, with major potential to be a havoc causer on defense. Potential to turn into a more complete scorer, but great foundation as is. Looks to have the ability to be a SWAC or Southland level player.

Dean-Woods is the top player in Bossier Parish. He played on the EYCL circuit this summer and got a chance to display his all-around talents. Kerel is a three level scorer who has gotten vastly better at taking players off the dribble. He finished his summer displaying that trait with a 40 point effort during the evaluation period. His feather touch from three, at 6’7″, makes him a hard guard for teams. If Bossier, is to win another state title, they will need this guy to carry them on most nights.
