Ahmir Wall 2023 6’4 Desoto High School
Ahmir is a stud athlete with an ability to explode to the rim and finish through contact. I was very impressed at his ability to fight through contact and finish consistently. His explosiveness allows him to hang in the air and change his shot angle if he needs to at the rim. He truly has a wiggle to his game when he is attacking the rim going downhill as well. He always seems to slither out of contact and into open spaces in the paint. I would like to see him continue to work on his set shot and getting to his spots beyond the arc with a live dribble. He has a consistent midrange game already, and as he continues to add that third level to his game he will become a dangerous option for Coach Bacon to develop into a high level player.
Luke Price 2023 6’0 Reagan High School
Luke is the true definition of a point guard. He specializes in creating open looks for his teammates in the full court. His passing ability allowed Reagan to consistently break any type of full-court pressure that they faced. He has fantastic vision in the half-court as well and knows how to fire tight passes into his teammate’s shooting pockets. He also displayed a real ability to shoot off the catch and stretch the floor. When he is not involved in the offense he is comfortable operating along the wings and corners. He is a very aware player on both ends of the floor and has a real nose for the ball and knows when to pick passes in the passing lanes.
Deshawn Crawford 2023 6’3 Desoto High School
Deshawn is an aggressive guard who knows how to get to the rim with ease. He specializes in attacking the rim off the bounce and can get by defenders with his quick handle. I loved watching him break down defenders and get to a high-quality shot at the rim. On the defensive side of the ball, he is an aggressive on-ball defender who thrives in making his opponent uncomfortable by playing up on them. He seems to have a knack for always shifting his opponent’s hips and making them uncomfortable. He attacks the glass hard as well and knows how to use his size to box out and sky for rebounds. I would like to see him work on his ability to get to his shot in the midrange.

2023 6’3 Steele High School
Max is an intelligent player who thrives at knocking down shots at all three levels. I loved watching him work on getting to his shot at the midrange and spotting up along the wings and corners to knock down shots beyond the arc. He is great at flashing to the midrange at the high post when the defense is confused from his teammates attacking the rim. He got a plethora of open looks from his ability to find weak spots in the defense. He is a special defender as well, his size allows him to consistently defend positions 1-3 and some undersized forwards. He is great at moving his feet and staying in front of his opponent. I loved watching him work as a help defender, he knew when to come over and trap the ball, as well as his work hedging on the pick and roll and forcing the ball handler to make a different decision.
Aden Mendez 2023 Guard 5’9 Warren High School
Aden is a high-level point guard who has the ability to get to his own shot off the bounce at all three levels. He specializes in getting to his one to two dribble pull-up in the midrange which pairs well with Warren’s system that heavily involves three big men. So many teams are worried about protecting the rim and the three-point line and Mendez is good at getting to his shot in the midrange. He is great at going coast to coast and leading the break with his passing and ability to push the ball up the court. He is a scrappy on-ball defender who is good at getting underneath his defenders.
