Caleb Daniels 6’3 St. Aug
If a year and a half ago you would have told me that Daniels wouldn’t be committed to a college program this late into the recruiting cycle, I would have called you crazy. But that’s what happens when you suffer a foot injury before the summer heading into your senior year. This caused a few programs that were high on him to cool off, but the do-it-all guard has shown this season that he is as explosive and athletic as ever. I would be surprised if he isn’t scooped up by a D1 program very soon.
LeAaron Cain 6’2 East Ascension
If you need buckets, call LeAaron Cain. The kid can flat out score. He does most of his work around the rim, and getting to the free throw line, but he has also shown the ability to consistently knock down from long range. His length allows him to play like someone who is much bigger than the 6’2 he is listed at.
Davantre Vitor 6’0 Washington Marion
Vitor is a player that has flown under the radar as far as recruiting goes, but he is definitely a player that can contribute at the next level. You will be hard pressed to find a better athlete them him, plus the combination of his deadly shooting stroke, and he is able to score at will.
Tylan Dean 6’0 Lincoln Prep
Dean rose up the board after an impressive summer playing for Team Milsap, and has continued excellent play leading Grambling to an excellent record. Pound for pound, Dean is one of the most impressive shooters in the state, and has shown this year that as long as he is in the gym, he is in range.
Raylon Hardy 5’10 Hahnville
For his high school team Hardy is relied on to do it all, and the success of the team on any given night is placed pretty heavily on his his shoulders. However, Hardy showed over the summer his ability to be a true point guard, setting up his teammates in the area they’d most be successful. Hardy plays an incredibly heady game, and in combination with his lock down defense, he can be an asset at the next level.
