Zyon Little Zyon Little 6'6" | SF Dickinson | 2023 State TX 2023 6’6 Dickinson High School
Zyon is a monster in the paint who thrives at scoring through contact and tough defense. He is a dominant force with his back to he basket, and can destroy his matchup out of the high post as well. He can size up and bully his way through his defender to the rim. He is great on the glass and made smart outlet passes to jump start the break.I would have liked to see him create more with a live dribble in the midrange in the game I watched, however he dominated his matchup in the paint in the game I watched. Little is a special player with all the tools to become a high level defending wing/ forward at the next level.
Kai’ree Murray 2023 Fort Bend Bush High School
Kai’ree is a high level guard who has a real nose for the ball on both ends of the floor. He might be one of the best rebounding guards I have seen in a few years. He is relentless at attacking the glass and put back one of the most impressive put back’s I have seen over two defenders! He played hard for every second that he was in and was fearless to get on the floor and on the glass. I was very impressed with his ability to pass the ball, he consistently made great reads on the fast break to get his teammates open looks. He showed an ability to knock down shots in the corners as well.
Josh Bento 2023 6’0 Woodlands Christian Academy
Josh is a creative combo guard who is great at playing off the ball. His consistent movement off the ball put steady pressure on the back side of the defense and allowed his lead guard room to take defenders off the dribble. He was a reliable shooter when given the time to catch and shoot and was fearless and putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim. I loved watching him put constant stress on whoever defended him. I would like to see him get more confident with his shot in the midrange after a defender comes out too hard to close out on him. His shot making ability is something teams will have to key on.
Chandler Williams Chandler Williams 6'6" | SF Klein Forest | 2023 State TX 6’5 2023 Klein Forest High School
Chandler is a long and strong athlete that has a soft and fluid motion to his game. When you look at him you can tell he is a dual sport athlete for Klein Forest, he possesses great size and side to side agility that allows him to be a complete weapon on the floor. He has a great touch from beyond the arc and is even confident enough to set himself up for shots off the dribble. He is very reliable when acting as a spot up shooter and has the ability to punish the defense at all three levels if they are late at coming out to contest him. He is great at utilizing his shot fake and getting his defender on the back of his hip and flying by them toward the rim. Watch for Williams to have a massive start in district play this year!
