Returning All-State Talent: SD
Third Team All-State last season, 3rd year being All-State15 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.3 apg, 55 FG%, 24 3FGM
18 points in the win over Dell Rapids St. Mary. Got to like Mitchell playing well down the stretch. Gregory is a tough team if Mitchell and company are hitting shots and being aggressive.
Mitchell redeemed himself in a big way at the Corn Palace after scoring two points vs Howard at the Hoop City Classic. He showed his rare athleticism in this game, by skying up for rebounds in traffic. He took advantage of a small Ipswich lineup.
Mitchell has to have top 5 length in the state. I can’t think of more than a couple names that compete. It wasn’t one of his scoring games with two points, but he pulled down 10 rebounds and affected the paint and beyond with his arms and jumping ability. Blocked and altered shots.
Stats: 15 ppg, 8.4 rpg, 1.3 apg, 55 FG%, 34.2 3FG%, Third Team All-State
Season Outlook: The Gorillas should be a Top 10 team to start the season. Mitchell is an elite talent & athlete. He is also surrounded by some quality talent. Gregory will make it to the SoDak 16 Game again this year, PHD is predicting Mitchell to a have an explosive senior year and to perform well in the playoffs. Look for the Gorillas to be playing in the State Tournament this spring.
He is no stranger to being All-State and he puts up impressive numbers. Daniel has sky high potential with his length and freaky athleticism. He is a highlight-reel dunker and he can knockdown jumpers out to the 3-point line. Daniel is also an excellent rebounder and rim-protector.
