Area 2 is loaded with great talent ahead of the upcoming 2021-22 basketball season.
Here are the top five players in Area 2 to watch this season.
Christian Rodgers | 5-6 PG | Dale County
Rodgers is a terrific guard that can be the leader his team needs. He excels at finding open lanes and attacking the glass but he can also hit any open shot on the court.
Cole Weed | 5-10 SG | Dale County
Weed is a standout shooting guard that can get to the rim or score an easy assist by finding the open teammate in the fast break. When he has the ball in his hands, Weed can move past defenders and elevate at the rim or hit the open mid range jumper.
Timothy McReynolds | 5-7 PG | Geneva
McReynolds is a smaller guard, but he is electrifying to watch. With the ball in his hands, he can pull up from anywhere on the court or find an open teammate for an assist. On defense, McReynolds is quick to force turnovers and can quickly get to the rim at the other end for an easy bucket.
Justin Fulford | PF | Geneva
Fulford displays great talent in the post and can be a force at both ends of the floor. He can drive inside towards the rim but can also grab rebounds for a second chance attempt. On defense, Fulford can block shots and is a presence near the rim.
Abram Guilford | 6-1 SG | Straughn
Guilford is a talented shooting guard that can step up and be the leader his team needs late in games. He can get to the free throw line and seal a win but he can also pull up from anywhere on the court to hit a contested shot over smaller defenders.
