Ty Davis Ty Davis 6'5" | SG Mountain Brook | 2024 State #191 Nation AL orchestrated Mountain Brook’s thrilling comeback victory over Shades Valley with a stellar all-around performance. The Spartans’ leader displayed his full repertoire of skills in this contest.
Offensively, Davis showed he can score from all three levels. He knocked down deep jumpers all game long, flashing his smooth shooting stroke from beyond the arc. In the paint, Davis used crafty finishes with either hand to contort his body around defenders for tough layups. He also distributed well, finding open teammates for easy buckets thanks to his high basketball IQ.
Davis’ court vision was on full display as he repeatedly set up his teammates for open looks with crisp, pinpoint passing. But he saved his best for last, taking over down the stretch. With the game tied in the closing seconds, Davis drove to the rim for the clutch go-ahead layup to seal the victory.
Defensively, Davis was vocal in directing his teammates and provided stifling on-ball pressure. His activity and communication slowed down Shades Valley’s offense all night.
In total, Davis scored 20 points while leading Mountain Brook’s resilient comeback with his diverse scoring ability, court vision, leadership and defense. He once again proved he is a winner who can take over games when it matters most. Davis’ all-around brilliance spearheaded this thrilling victory.

Another great player who is changing the game is Ty Davis Ty Davis 6'5" | SG Mountain Brook | 2024 State #191 Nation AL who is a guard who has shown significant improvement in his game during the past season. He has worked hard to improve his dribbling skills, making him more difficult to guard. His vision and decision-making have also improved, and he has become a better passer. He is very vocal on the court, directing his teammates and communicating well with his coach. He has also improved his defensive skills, becoming more of a threat on that end of the floor. He is a coachable player who is willing to put in the work to improve his game. Ty has averaged 18.2 points per game and was solid from the three point arch by making 37% of three he’s shoot which is lethal. Ty will be another guy to keep a heavy eye on in the future.
