Expert Analysis
David Gardner | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the top athletes in state, Mick did it all for Lincoln East last year. He was the top scorer while finishing in the top 4 in rebounds, assists and steals on the team. Mick is a gritty player who can get into the painted area and finish or shoot with consistency from distance. He can rebound well for a guard and bring the ball up the floor to run the offense. His intelligence is an asset, making him a leader on the court. Mick will generate a buzz his senior year after a great fantastic year on the court and the diamond his junior season, that led to his Husker commitment.

is a special athlete. Talking with players and coaches around the state, everyone boasts about Mick’s talent. He is another kid that seems to come alive when the lights are the brightest. While Mick has a gifted skillset, his passion and will to win is what sets him apart from his peers. Mick is due for a huge senior season for Lincoln East this winter, and will look to assume a larger leadership role after the departure of a couple seniors.

had a great night, as he was the second leading scorer in both games for Nebraska Supreme 17U. Mick got hot from three early, and made big shots down the stretch as well. Not only did Mick pour it in from outside, but he also rebounded and passed very well. He showed Friday night that he is more than just a scorer. Look for Mick to continue to play well for this loaded Nebraska Supreme squad.

is a treat to watch. There are very few guards in the state who play with the confidence and swagger Mick plays with. After a standout Junior year at Lincoln East, the 6’3 lefty found himself with a lot of buzz going into AAU season. He is a high level scorer who can light it up from the outside and create for himself off the bounce. Mick missed a lot of time this Spring because he was busy leading his Lincoln East baseball squad to a state championship. However, he is back with Nebraska Supreme and ready to showcase his skills this summer.
