Top Performances
- Why wouldn’t Tyler Riemersma grab 32 rebounds in a game when Jefferson beat Cooper! 9th best state total ever.
- And why wouldn’t Wambde Diaz of Cedar Mountain-Comfrey grab 32 rebounds of his own and also get 9th on the all time list on the same night?!?! That was in a hammering of Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 81-49.
- Osseo with the buzzer beater to defeat Totino-Grace. Emmette Page was Minnesota’s most famous 17 year old for a day.
- Highland Park beating Washington on the road 73-69 was massive for their St. Paul City run!
- NSP knocked off Hastings 71-44. Hastings has some good players and run good stuff but the Polars don’t like blue.
Top Five – Still Rolling
- Coon Rapids over Centennial. Cardinals with more wins. Great job Coach Ogorek!
- Mahtomedi over St. Thomas Academy. Beating Tartan and St. Thomas in the same week, you may as well hand the conference keys to the Zephyrs for the time being. Finish line is a long ways away though.
- Breckenridge has still only lost one game. They beat Morris 67-58.
- Battle Lake isn’t ready to crown Hillcrest Lutheran! They grabbed the 55-48 win Tuesday.
- Woodbury is now without Jeremiah Coddon but Michael Jones is picking up some of the slack and they beat East Ridge 80-74.
Top Five – Water on the Flame (of Success!)
- The Fridley Tigers welcomes St. Anthony and grabbed a four point win. Never know what to expect from a tiger
- Saw Litchfield play well vs GSL, but Annandale brought down Smaug and the Dragons 71-49.
- New Prague has dropped two in a row hitting a difficult part of the schedule with Chaska and EP.
- Big Lake dropped their third game of the year when they fell to Alexandria 75-74 in overtime.!
- Melrose beats St. Cloud Cathedral again. Cathedral is having a good year but losing both to the Dutchmen is a bitter pill.
Top Five – Alright you made your point!
- Champlin Park with the dehorning of the Elk 92-47.
- Minnehaha beat St. Paul Academy 72-19.
- Lakeville North goes over the century mark 104-71.
- Marshall 87, JCC 45. JCC was runner-up in AA last year.
- Cristo Rey 84, Charter Stars 33.
Top Five – Upset, at least in my mind
- Anoka over Irondale
- Central over Johnson, not an upset now but based on recent past
- Roseville over Park big. Roseville has some good young players but they hammered Park 53-30. It was the margin that got me.
- Peter had just lost five straight but beat Maple River 58-55.
- Sibley East over Norwood-Young America 62-57
