Rascoe has been a big part in Bertie’s success and their potential title aspirations this season, running the point guard spot smoothly for the Falcons. He’s averaging 4.8 APG with over a 2.5 assist/turnover ratio, showcasing not only his ability to find teammates, but also stay error free. He’s undersized, but very quick, which allows him to beat defenders and play 5 on 4, reading defenses to find the open man. He’ll continue to show off his floor general status as Bertie hopefully runs deep into the 1A state playoffs.

Junior guard Jahkelvin Rascoe Jahkelvin Rascoe 5'9" | PG Bertie | 2024 State NC is another backcourt presence to keep an eye on with his playmaking and defensive abilities. He’s been quite the 1-2 punch in the Bertie backcourt this season as they’ve gone 26-4 this season and played stellar during conference action. He’s one of a few names to keep eyes on with their scrappy bunch.

His squad has been absolutely dominant through the first rounds of the playoffs, and he was one of the main reasons why in their matchup with Kipp Pride. He scored a team high of 15 Points, using his speed to get by defenders to get to the basket for buckets. If Bertie hopes to make a run at a state championship, he will need to continue to play the game at a high level on both ends of the floor.
