Brooks has emerged as a new face for colleges coaches to get to know this season at Eastern Randolph High. He’s a wiry-framed 6-foot-4 versatile wing prospect that’s putting up 24.3 ppg, 11.9 rpg, 2.9 spg and 2.1 apg as the Wildcats enter the 1A West Final with a 28-2 record. He’s shown off an ability to operate around the rim and make plays happen around the rim all season long and will look to keep it going against Bishop McGuinness on Saturday.
Graves is a prospect that’s found good footing in his senior season with Bishop McGuinness High. He’s a floor general that knows how to get to his spots with the Villains. He put up 12 points in their fourth round upset of Mountain Heritage, fouling out before the end of regulation. He’ll be looked upon to push the pace and lead the way as the Villains find themselves back in the hunt for a state title once again.
Barrett is a 6-foot-9 forward that’s also found his way in the Villains rotation using his length in more ways than one to be effective on the floor. He’s an emerging 2024 name to get to know at Bishop McGuinness High that’s shown he can use his length to defend multiple spots on the floor, rebound the ball and make things happen around the rim.
Highlights
Brower is a sophomore name to know with the Eastern Randolph Wildcats. He’s knocked down 54 3-pointers in 2022-23 while producing 15.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.4 apg and 2.7 spg in the backcourt. He’s slowly emerged as a young name to get to know at 6-foot-2 with the ability to make things happen off the catch and off the bounce on the perimeter in the Eastern Randolph backcourt.
Bazemore has been electric all year long for the Bertie Falcons as he’s led the way for their backcourt with 14.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 3.7 apg and 1.5 spg. He’s shown he’s a gritty guard that can play an efficient brand of basketball. He’s coming of a 16 point, 6-of-10 shooting effort in their victory over Northampton County.
Junior guard Jahkelvin Rascoe Jahkelvin Rascoe 5’9″ | PG Bertie | 2024 State NC is another backcourt presence to keep an eye on with his playmaking and defensive abilities. He’s been quite the 1-2 punch in the Bertie backcourt this season as they’ve gone 26-4 this season and played stellar during conference action. He’s one of a few names to keep eyes on with their scrappy bunch.
Minter Jr. will look to lead the way for Wilson Prep as he has all season long with his ability to finish at the rim and knock down shots on the perimeter. He’s knocked down 88 3-pointers in 2022-23 for the Tigers. The 6-foot-5 junior is averaging 14.0 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 1.6 apg and 1.4 bpg on the wing for the Tigers as they look to get back to the state title game once again in 2022-23.
Anderson is another junior prospect to keep eyes on with the Wilson Prep Tigers given his exploits in the backcourt. He’s a shifty operator that’s putting up 12.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.8 apg and 2.1 spg as he looks to lead their backcourt to a state title. He’s knocked down 43 3-pointers in his junior season.
