“The season has gone really well so far, we are 9-0, and won our Christmas tournament with a win over St. Cloud Cathedral,” Dillon said. “Everybody is playing well and contributing, it’s really fun to be a part of.”
Melrose has beaten every team they’ve played by double figures including Cathedral (who has a rematch with Melrose next Tuesday) by 13.
Haider is an experience senior with a state title medal in his room and many years of both high school and AAU basketball experience on his resume.
“Being a senior on this team has really made me enjoy every day together in the gym as a team,” Haider said. “This year I have really grown as a leader and really took charge of the team.”
Dillon is a future college basketball player as well although the level is still TBD.
“My plan is to attend a four year college,” Haider said. “The schools talking to me the most right now are UW-Stout, Jamestown, Bemidji State, Dakota State, and St. Johns a little bit. I’m not sure when I’m going to decide.”
